I primarily play limited, so most of my spoiler season comments view cards through that lens.
I don't run Sol Ring in my 540 unpowered cube, because, ya know, unpowered and all.
Cookie dough is pretty legit, but Phish Food is definitely my favorite from B&J. The marshmallow and fudge synergy is brutal. Throw it in a chocolate and caramel shell and you have a solid tier 1 ice cream.
I do run Fudgey-Judgey because by itself it has so many synergies with great enter-the-freezer abilities, but it's really neat that someone could ALSO draft Pestermellow and actually have a chocolate combo deck that functions like a value Izzet sundae.
Adding Sol Ring to my unpowered cube was a serious mistake I reftified after the first draft I saw it in action in.
I'm not usually big on chocolate ice creams but now that I live in South Korea I consider any ice cream that contains peanut butter to be format warpingly good.

This is one of my favorites as well. The chocolate chunks are bigger than the chips you typically get but not too big, plus the marshmallow and caramel swirls are to die for. I tried the FroYo version of it recently and let me tell you, ******* EXQUISITE. Tzenmorth has it right, the fusion is to die for...*or* kill for!

Orrrr, we can talk about:
Sphinx's Revelation
Being multicolored means it's fighting for the tightest spots in cube, and Azorius isn't exactly lacking (like any of them, really.) Do you run it? If so, why over other choices? If not, how many azorius cards would you need to run to want it?
I can't see what I should cut out of that group for a spell as expensive as Sphinx's Revelation. If I moved up to 630 it would be the next add, though.
Sphinx's Rev is a fine card, but I had too hard a time trying to find room for it in the Azorius section. The competition is just a bit too steep nowadays.

Honestly, I feel like Detention Sphere can go. It's a great card, but with Banishing Light and Oblivion Stone in white, plus the plethora of other similar mono-white effects (like the 1WW ones), Detention Sphere feels unnecessary imo (Pack Rat situations notwithstanding). If you're only running a limited number of gold cards in each guild, I'd try to include powerful, yet unique and interesting cards.
I don't run Sphinx's Revelation personally, because I never picked one up, but it totally fits the bill. It is pretty much an archetype defining card for U/W control, and really makes that deck come together. I've played it in others' cubes, and it was one of those cards that I always wanted to draw and play every game. If I ever pick one up, I'm going to play it in my cube.
Not me. Sphere is an excellent card, and with tokens becoming an ever more important strategy to have answers to, the upside of Sphere over the other comparable effects gets more and more relevant with each set.
^This. I support Tokens (particularly Selesnya) and having an answer for them in UW is really relevant. I have a lot of white sweepers (all the way to Akroma's Vengeance) but since GW tokens may want some of those cards I can't depend on them being enough. Disruption Sphere helps provide a check on them.
Sphinx's Revelation is a good card but it was oftentimes in the sideboard than in the deck, too many times it was the 24th card for me. I agree that Detention Sphere is redundant, but that effect is extremely relevant as tokens / planeswalkers are increasing in numbers.
This is how I rank Azorius (currently I play 4 cards per guild at 540)
- Geist of Saint Traft
- Reflector Mage
- Supreme Verdict
- Detention Sphere
- Dragonlord Ojutai
- Sphinx's Revelation
Reflector Mage and Supreme Verdict can be switched around, but to me they're the clear #2 and #3 regardless.

That would be my ranking too, I currently play all 6. For some reason players here love Revelation, but I do not think it is good.
I feel like the situations where the "same name"-text is relevant Supreme Verdict is ussualy the better card.
They're totally different cards that may not even be played in the same decks. There's a lot of times where I don't want to wrath my board but want to kill tokens my opponent has out.
One of the few playable tricks for cube IMO, Vines of Vastwood spends time in and out of my cube. It's a card that wins games out of nowhere, fight through combat, and defeat almost all removal in the cube barring edicts and wraths. Sometimes it feels bad/off running just one true trick, but then I also like having that one-of that players must always consider. (Like having W open and the potential for Mana Tithe.)
Do you run Vines of Vastwood? Is it on the block or does it have a home? Are there any other true tricks you run as well?
It often functions as a 1-mana counterspell, or a 2-mana combat trick, which is nice. And, it can randomly be a complete mid-combat blow-out when both modes are relevant at the same time. I don't run it in my own list anymore, but it's often a nice 22nd or 23rd inclusion in my deck when I'm drafting other lists. I think it's a much better card in unpowered lists, where combat and creature removal are both critical in every matchup.
Though it's close I'd probably put Reflector Mage ahead of Geist now. Geist definitely has a very high ceiling and is an absolute beast in tempo/decks with lots of removal but Reflector Mage is such a consistently strong play in pretty much any type of deck that can cast it.
Regarding Venser and Brago, I never liked pushing blink as a full-blown archetype but rather is a powerful sub-theme. Flickerwisp, Kor Skyfisher, Eldrazi Displacer, can slot into a lot of decks and can abuse a bunch of powerful ETB effects. Round it off with similar functioning cards like Parallax Wave, Crystal Shard, and Erratic Portal and I got myself some strong support with versatile cards that don't need strong archtype support to function well.
I'm back from my vacation, many thanks to Salmo for doing a great job of keeping this thread going with really interesting choices of cards and ice cream flavors to discuss! I'll post a new card of the day to make sure that the current one has ample discussion time.
Regarding Vines of Vastwood, I do like the idea of having more combat tricks in my cube, especially one that can double as a counterspell of sorts, but I don't like the idea of having to pay double green to make it work as a combat trick. I'd make room for Mutagenic Growth first, then probably Invigorate or Giant Growth before running Vines.

Vines is definitely better than Giant Growth and probably better than Invigorate, though Mutagenic Growth might be more useful being free. My big issue with growth was +2+2 is not the best and sometimes not worth paying 2 life for.
Vines and Mutagenic Growth are probably the two best usable pure combat tricks. I'm not playing either of them at the moment, I think creatures with Flash are the best combat tricks, IMO.
