Great card is great, needs more cubable assembly workers. Factory almost always makes the deck unless my manabase can't match the demand of my spells.
I'm currently playing the white boardered Fall version due to price considerations. Fall / Summer / Winter are all great, spring doesn't have as much color. I think I like Summer the most honestly, it's the best season!
Mishra's factory is a fantastic card, for all the reasons already mentioned. As a colorless land, it can fit well into any mono-color deck and most two color decks just by swapping for a land, so you can increase your threat density at minimal opportunity cost. Even for decks with heavier color requirements, or decks that just want to run an 18th land, this can be a solid replacement for any number of spells. The black-bordered versions that everyone's ooohing and ahhing over aren't cheap (I run the spring version, but I wish I had the winter), but the EMA reprint and white-bordered 4th edition version are both less than $2, so there's no reason not to prioritize this for new cube managers. Drafters love this card in my cube, I don't think I've ever seen it wheel.
I worked at a plastic factory the summer after I graduated from college making jungle gym parts, shower seats for the elderly, and trash cans. It was the best paying work I could find in my college town, and I thought I'd hate it, but I was pleasantly surprised at how satisfying it was to spend the day making things that I knew people would use. I also dropped 30 pounds that summer without even trying.

It's one of the scarier monsters to cheat into play, but it's really hard to cast and can't be reanimated, so it was ultimately too narrow.
I like several of the optional weapon bosses from the Final Fantasy games. The Emerald Weapon from Final Fantasy VII prowling the bottom of the sea may be my favorite one.
Convoke and being an instant makes the cost less of a problem, but it is still rather expensive to use Chord. I never quite got around to including it due to its cost. Maybe I should? At least it allows you to search for any kind of creature, not just a green one. For that reason alone I like it a bit more than Green Sun's Zenith. So, if I would run one of them, it would definitely be Chord.
My ringtone is "The Devil Regains His Strength" from The Devil is a Part-Timer, minus the build-up of the first ten seconds. Basically, THIS. It is noticeable without being too annoying (good qualities for a ringtone) and I just like it.
The triple green always kept Chord on the outside looking in. I've never ran it in my cube, but that cost (even with Convoke) always seemed a bit much. I do run and like Green Sun's Zenith, though. I don't think the drawback of only being able to get a green creature is that significant. Then again, restricting it to only green creatures really makes the cards function very differently. GSZ also slots into pretty much any green deck, whereas Chord is probably only going into the big mana ramp fatty deck.
My current ringtone is the opening guitar riff from Metallica's Harvester of Sorrow.
I've thought about Chord of Calling before, but triple green is rough and it seems less good than both Worldly Tutor and GSZ, which do vaguely similar things. Tutor is super flexible, and GSZ scales well. You can GSZ for Rofellos and feel great. Chording for Rofellos seems awful. So yeah, it gets your finishers or answers, but so do the other two creature tutors in green, and top of library / sorcery speed seem like way smaller drawbacks than triple green.
My ringtone is vibrate. Has been since like 2008, when the novelty of anything else wore off for me.

I think Chord of Calling would be much better if it was just one G less, but it'd probably be too good then and not different enough from GSZ. 5 mana / creatures for a 2-drop seems too underwhelming, the scaling of what you pay / what you get never seemed enough to me.
My ringtone is by far cooler than any other that I've ever heard, it's the first 25 seconds of this jazz fusion tune:
Chord of Calling with GGG in the cost is definitely too narrow for my cube. The beauty of Green Sun's Zenith is that it works as a ramp spell in the early game, letting you fetch an elf, and is a good mana sink in the late game. Chord is late game only. In a dedicated ramp deck, this has a higher ceiling because it can be used to flash in creatures with any number of ETB effects in any color, but at my current cube size Worldly Tutor and GSZ get the job done as creature tutors.
Quintessential Rx aggro card. Not much to say really. I guess if your format is slow and you have a low distribution of disenchants, this card could be oppressive? Old frame for sure.
Politics has been my recent vortex. And I really dislike politics, but it's hard to ignore the state of things these days.
Best red card in cube. If you support red aggro, you should run this.

Sulfuric Vortex is a card that actually pulls you into the red aggro deck. I don't think there are a lot of cards that pull me into hard red aggro but this is one of them.
If you play red cards in your cube and it allows for powerful rares, you should play this card before any other card.
My days are taken up mostly by work, but my nights are usually filled catching up on TV that I've gotten behind on because of too many hours at work. Currently catching up on the last five episodes of this season of Homeland.
