I've wanted a Karmic Guide since the days of Urza's Legacy, and I never got it, partially because my first ground up deck that I built was during Urza's Saga and was a W/B reanimator. It's a brilliant card, works with Lark, good flicker target, and is a solid reanimator target itself if you have sacrifice or ETB shenanigans. Pro-black and flying are just delicious icing on the cake. I'm partial to Heather Hudson's artwork, myself, as the angel is pulling a spirit from the grave, not looking at some grown-ass man in an egg.
As for the cube, it's fighting for a spot with Lark, cloudgoat, and baneslayer, which is tough company.
My car, and the car I drive are two different things. I drive an old sedan, but in my garage is a '72 chevelle that I'm restoring when I have spare money.
No Karmic Guide for me, although I love the card and especially the original art and frame.
I drive an 2005 Trailblazer, which I quite like. My previous car was an old Taurus and it needed $400 worth of work every few thousand miles. It's been nice to have something reliable and with 4wd for Montana's winters.

The card is good, but I don't full on support flicker so a 5 drop 2/2 flier with echo seems meh.
I drive a 2006 Jeep Liberty. I love it. I've had to bring it to the mechanic only once and in 2 years when I buy another car it's also going to be a jeep.
The card offers sweet synergy in the right decks, but is never a core effect for anything. The echo is a serious drawback for some shenanigans, so is pro black. I play 6 white 6 drops I like more, so this doesn't make the cut for me at 720.
In a vacuum, Karmic Guide does not have as much raw power as any of the beefier Angels that take up most of the 5CMC slot in white. However, there are enough synergies with blink, Reveillark, RecSur, and more that Karmic Guide is more than worth running. Since it goes infinite with Reveillark and a sac outlet, I see it as just as important to keep Karmic Guide in my cube as it is to run Pestermite in a cube that runs Splinter Twin. I have plenty of stats monsters in that slot, Karmic Guide is a unique combo enabler that in its own way puts the rest of them to shame. I prefer to avoid creatures that contain protection from individual colors, but I make an exception for Karmic Guide because what it brings to the table is so unique.
Karmic Guide is one of the few judge foils in my cube, but I wish I'd held out a little longer because it doesn't have the reminder text explaining Echo, while the EMA foil does. As gorgeous as the old frame is on the Urza's Legacy version is, I'd advise against running it because it does not show the errata'd Angel creature type, which is a very relevant (non-)interaction with Restoration Angel.
I haven't owned or driven a car in years because the public transit in South is cheap and excellent, and I can't say I miss it a bit. The last car I drove was a hand-me-down 1996 Chevy Lumina sedan, which was what I had the last time I lived in the U.S. It was on its last legs when I sold it to return to Korea.

Remand is a wonderful tempo counter, and the cantrip allows control decks to get more use from it than usual. But it can be a great way to push a tempo advantage or recover lost tempo in windows where it prevents the opponent from making any other proactive plays in the same turn.
I love playing tempo decks, and I play U/X tempo shells in pretty much every color combination with regularity.
I love Remand and tempo decks generally. I probably like UG best, with Opposition and Edric, and UW next, with Imposing Sovereign and big Thalia backed up by counters and bounce. I like UB quite a bit, too, but rarely find myself playing UR tempo. My wife loves that deck, though, so whatever.

Remand is a staple for good reason, it's great early to stunt development while digging for resources, can be close to a Time Walk in the right circumstances, and since it replaces itself the floor is quite high. However, I find myself playing Miscalculation and Memory Lapse far more often than Remand. I think it's because these are a lot less familiar outside of the cube environment, so other drafters probably don't prioritize them quite as highly as I do, while anyone familiar with Modern will appreciate Remand enough to pick it fairly highly. Also, I've come to see some significant advantages of Miscalc and Lapse over Remand. Miscalc might not always work as a counter, but it's a lot easier to have it replace itself when it or any counter isn't what you want, and Memory Lapse pretty much always guarantees that you won't see the spell you're countering again for a full turn. Not so for Remand in the late game. As much as I like Remand, I've come to value it a bit less than other 1U countermagic options.
I absolutely love playing Izzet and Dimir tempo decks, loading up on aggro critters and backing them up with countermagic and cheap removal.

Cradle can be a fantastic land in decks that will either regularly produce early creatures or a lot of creatures. I've seen the card struggle when the opponent's sweepers reset my board, but I've also seen it do ridiculous things when I have multiple creatures out. Cradle can be a very powerful land in the right deck.
Camping is a blast. I wish I had the time to go more often.
Gaea's Cradle is way out of my price range, and I can't bring myself to pay the $40 or so bucks for the World Championship edition, although the one time I got to try it out when I drafted a mono-green ramp deck in my friend's powered cube it was fantastic, powering out things like turn 3 Prime Time. Considering its current price, the fact that it's on the reserved list, and the fact that I'd rather not add anymore proxies to my cube it'll take a miracle to get one in my cube.
I love cooking over an open fire, and hanging out with friends surrounded by nature, but sleeping on the ground and pooping in anything other than a flush toilet... not so much. I prefer sticking to grilling and the occasional day hike.

I don't run it in my cube, but someday I'll get the World Championship edition and have it extended so there's no atrocious gold border. It seems like a sweet card in the right deck.
Camping is swell. Didn't go at all this year because my wife was pregnant all summer, but next year we'll go and bring little laddie along. I like hiking quite a bit, and living in west Montana, I'm in country that's too gorgeous to avoid being outdoors in the woods for long.

There was a time period when this forum was down on Cradle because of consistency issues. A lot of us cut it from our cubes at that time. Now, I'm kicking myself that I sold my copy at that time. I want to give it another spin, but it's just not an affordable card anymore. I may run my World Championship copy but...ugh, gold borders.
I haven't been camping in a long time but I love it. Next year I'm going to be concentrating on learning my new favorite outdoor activity: scuba diving.
I don't run it. It's both to powerful for my cube and to expensive for me to include it. It's not really an all star either, since there's only one deck for it to go into, so I don't mind not having it.
As for camping, a friend of mine once said: "I didn't go to college to sleep on the ground during my vacations". I wouldn't put it as drastic as that, but I've not been camping in years and I don't really miss it. But if the right kind of trip came along, I'd do it again.
Cradle is very powerful in the right deck with the right hand. Ideally you have many cheap creatures and something to do with heaps of mana. It is still playable in many green midrange decks with enough mana elves but isn't optimal there. When you have a two land hand with no one drops and Cradle you realize the price you pay for this amount of power is not negligible. The inconsistency keeps this card in check.
I like camping but I think my country is ill-suited for it. I would do it again if I had time and good company.
Cradle is a great card that i wish I was playing. Very expensive but I could see getting it at some point. Its not going to get worse as a card and as rant said, it is somehow getting better.
As for camping, I love it. We go all the time from spring to late fall and its always a blast. I usually only camp in New England and upstate New York but thats just because I am from this region and it doesn't hurt that the land is beautiful here. I would love to make my way out to some of the midwestern or pacific north west state parks to camp in the future.
We have a large bin that we hold all of our camping stuff in so if we decide to go camping all you need to do is put it in the back of your car and get your sleeping bags/tents and you are ready to go camping.
Love Gaea's Cradle. Consistency issues are made up for the fact that it's absolutely insane. One of the best in a lot of unpowered lists as it gives a 'powered' explosion that most decks won't be able to hit turn after turn. Yeah you get blown out by wrath, but you'll be ******* up so many other players' days that it isn't a deal breaker by any means.
Also love camping, though I have to bring an air mattress cause I can't sleep on the ground due to physical issues. Recently camped at Bar Harbor, ME, and will try to squeeze in one more time before the winter hits (unlikely though.)
I also LARP/used to LARP, and when I would tell people that I didn't want to know that I LARPed what I was doing that weekend I would tell them I'm going 'camping'. It's technically not wrong since you're always on a campsite sleeping in a cabin surrounded by gorgeous scenery spending lots of time outdoors doing rigorous activity...I just leave out the parts about me wearing costumes and fighting people with foam swords
And if you think I shouldn't be ashamed of LARPing or hide it, one of my friends was in a job interview for an high-end investment firm *and it came up in the interview.*
Essentially went like (not verbatim, but this pretty much happened in the interview):
Interviewer 1: ...well, everything here looks great. Just got a couple questions. What do you know about LARPing?
My friend 'Bill': ...
Interviewer 2: Say, isn't that when you go out in the woods and make pretend to be characters?
Interviewer 1: Yeah, I think so! Say, 'Bill', what do you know about LARPing?
'Bill': ...uhhh
It completely blindsided him, and he didn't get the job. Apparently his name was on a site for an old LARP he used to go to and a picture from when he was 18 in full costume is on the site. He's doing great now at a different job--and frankly feels awesome about not working at a place like that--but it's pretty crazy what people can find on you and how much it can bite you in the ass, especially when it's as dorky and 'embarrassing' (I don't think it is, but I don't speak for everyone clearly) as LARPing.
This is the most expensive piece of cardboard I own ATM (and one I was fortunate enough to pull from a Saga booster and then wisely hang on to).
Currently not in my cube, as I find Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx a bit more balanced in my meta, but it remains bonkers in the right archetype. I don't think I've ever had my sole copy undecked.
Man, I use to camp all the time as a kid... need to get back to doing that with the family. It's not like Western Australia is short of good camping spots...
Cradle is one of the 5 most broken land cards ever printed with Tolarian Academy, Library of Alexandria, Mishra's Workshop, and Island. It's absurd. I don't own one because I don't have enough money, though one has been taunting me for a while.
I don't mind camping, but I have to be with the right people to enjoy it.
