I like planeswalkers, attackable enchantments are cool, and I don't like my simic section, so I'm not that critical of simic pws, but kiora, the crashing wave wasn't really noteworthy and the only other feedback I got on master of the depths was "pretty much the same as crash of waves" so I never felt the need to try Kiora 2.0 out, though I'm hoping for good feedback from this thread about her, huge props to this thread since it's got me to readd some older cards I may have cut or never run before.
Crab rangoons count as seafood? If not then spicy California rolls
The ACS for Condescend is higher (Scry 2 is just plain good additional value), but I've been playing with power sink recently and I actually like it better. There are times you know an opponent has a counter spell and you sequence things to bait it out and ultimately get what you want into play. Power sink (with enough mana) just ruins that play. And it comes up more often than you might think.
I'm not super happy with Simic's options. Other than Edric, there aren't any super fun cards as there are in Izzet, or super good cards as there are in Orzhov or Golgari. I'm not yet run Kiora 2.0, but I just cut Kiora 1.0 in favor of Trygon Predator because it was never an awesome addition to a deck. I think if I expand my section, barring some sweet new card, I'll probably try out Kiora 2.0 and see if it's any better than the first one.
Favorite seafood is tough for me. I grew up eating fresh fish out of Lake Michigan, and sometimes nothing beats a big plate of fried perch. I also love fresh salmon. But I've become a big sushi fan over the years, too. And I love eating shellfish and shrimp. So basically anything from the depths is fine by me.

I like this Kiora quite a bit better than her first card. If it wasn't for the fact that I already have Kiora 1.0 in the DD foil I'd be using her, but for now she's holding down that place as a "meh" substitute. Master of Depths is much better value for ramping (at the very least more consistent)and gets better selection and usually more cards out of her minus. She could also theoretically ult, unlike 1.0 whose +1 exists just to feed her -1. (Which is surprisingly relevant, since I've actually had a lot of planeswalker ults happen in my cube. Last weekend, in one draft we had an Elspeth ult, a Liliana ult, and I could've Nissa ulted if it wouldn't have decked me. In another we had a Garruk ult and then another Elspeth ult, the latter being off a doubling season.)
As for seafood, I'm a vegetarian. Before I became a vegetarian, the answer was definitely shrimp. It was really the only seafood I liked.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
Neither version of Kiora performed all that well, Kiora 1.0 was way to fragile for a 4 mana card, but despite her higher loyalty 2.0 did a particularly bad job of protecting herself. I can't say I got to see her in action all that often, but when I did she was pretty meh. I recently cut Kiora to try Shardless Agent, which seems like it should be pretty good in both the ramp and tempo decks that crop up most often in Simic.
I don't get it often because it's expensive and kinda hard to find here, but my all-time favorite seafood is king crab legs. When they're fresh and steamed with a side of melted butter, they taste like heaven.

I had to look that up, I'd never heard of it before. Is that just a West Coast USA thing? They sound delicious!

450 card Peasant cube thread. Draft it here.
I like Kiora 2.0, the fact that she provides both ramp and card advantage is pretty awesome for a planeswalker. Very few 4-cmc planeswalkers can provide actual card advantage if they only survive one turn. I currently rank her #5 in Simic, just behind Shardless Agent.
I love seafood, shrimp salmon, eel, I can't get enough. I'm a big fan of shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon, and sushi.
Here's some secret tech of mine I use while trying out a new sushi restaurant. First, I always order the Philidelphia Roll as a litmus test. A Philly roll is pretty simple: it's just salmon and cream cheese wrapped in rice / seaweed. Then I examine the salmon / cream cheese ratio: don't be surprised if it's >70% cream cheese / >30% salmon if you're going to a cheap place, but make sure you're definitely getting your money's worth. Next thing to check is how does the salmon actually taste? A good place will have a nice meaty, smoky slice of fish. If everything checks out, the rest of the menu should be good, if not, buyer beware.

They have Crab Rangoons on the east coast as well. They are really delicious!
From what I understand, crab rangoons are an "American" Chinese thing. I really didn't realize it until I grabbed some Chinese with a girl from Singapore and she had no idea what they were, but she loved'm. One guy I knew in college who was from Dallas, Texas says they call them won tons?
This Kiora is pretty legit and I've run her to decent success. Wouldn't mind replacing her when something better comes along.
Seafood is my #1 jam and my favorite easily obtainable kind is Lox. I would eat a bagel with cream cheese, lox, onions, and capers at least once a day 7 days a week and probably never get tired of it. My all time favorite seafood is fresh-caught new England lobster rolls. As I don't live in new England it's very rare that I actually get to enjoy these. BUT I'm going on vacation to northern Maine next week and plan to gorge myself whenever possible
While I think both Kiora's have a similar power level, 2.0 is just a hundred times more interesting than 1.0. The old Kiora must be one of the most boring planeswalkers that was ever in my cube. She can be summed up in three words: Plus till ultimate. That was it. Yawn. Master of the Depths on the other hand has some actual play to her. Chosing which ability to use is not trivial and she does a little help for both ramp and graveyard strategies. From power level, she is probably in the bottom third of the planeswalkers in my cube, but I still like her.
I like a lot of seafood, but can't really say which one I like the most.
Not impressed with either Kiora, but I think this one is probably the #4 or #5 card in the guild. I think Simic may now be the guild most in need of better cards.
Before I went vegan, I loved seafood of all kinds. I grew up on the Jersey Shore, so it was a big part of growing up. It's just about the only animal product I still miss.
I play 5 Simic cards and she is the weakest among them. I prefer her to old Kiora, as her minus ability is strong. I am not too sad if all she does is use that ability and absorb 2 damage. Filling up your graveyard is also great for delve. Her plus ability is bad and plusing her to ultimate is more risky and win more than the second Kiora, but you just use her minus ability instead.
In general though she is not great. Simic is not as bad as Dimir, but it is also a weak guild.
I haven't tested a fish I did not like yet, and shrimps are great.
I also think Dimir is in pretty good shape. At least for the top 4-5 cards anyways. Not sure how it looks for bigger lists in comparison to their respective depths though.
I feel like both Kiora's are basically hot swapable. You could pull one for the other and no one would really notice or even care is my guess. I'm currently running both as cards 4-5 in my Simic section, but I've thought about cutting one to make room for Sagu Mauler.
As far as seafood goes, I like the cheddar biscuits from Red Lobster. Does that count? Probably not. As a general rule in my life, if it used to swim, I don't eat it.
Never ran disenchant. There are so many more interesting varients, I just can't see wanting to.
Speaking of disenchants, so I run:
- 8 different cards that serve as targetted removal for both artifacts and enchantments
- 6 that specifically kill artifacts
- Mortify is my only targetted removal that hits enchantments without artifacts, and it's actually going out for Anguished Unmaking
- 14 cards which are targetted removal for either any permanent or any nonland permanent.

Ran disenchant at the beginning of my cube since I didn't have a huge card pool, easily cut it when I got better cards, but the foil one with the chicken, had the best foiling of any card I've ever had, it was weirdly unique.
As we've been getting more and more destroy, exile, o-ring, target permanent cards, I've cut back on enchantment and artifact removal.
My second biggest want for cube is a cubable card that just gets a free destroy target enchantment on it.either like fiery confluence where it's super flexible, or just stapling a disenchant onto a broken creature like Thrun.(yes I want it to be a broken as hell card, for too long we've expected perfection out of every card except artifact and enchantment destruction,
I think Disenchant is a staple. It's cheap, effective, instant speed and has a ton of targets in the cube. It makes the main deck of the vast majority of white midrange and control decks here. I can't see cutting it.
I run it and always have, but I don't know if I'd go so far as to call it a staple. If they ever give us a 1/1 1W that disenchant's I'd probably play that instead. Still, great card in no danger of being cut anytime in the forseeable future.
