Primus is one of my favorite green fatties. Big, resilient, and has immediate impact. I run this in my Karador EDH deck and am planning to add to my cube's green section once I get another copy.
I also have Hornet Queen and Terastodon, with a Dragonlord Atarka hopefully coming soon.
Primus is probably my favorite green fatty. I also run Hornet Queen and Tarastodon in the 7+ creature slot. Looking at Craterhoof and Avenger as potential adds too.
I was big on Woodfall when I was heavily focused on value card choices. He's very solid.
I've shifted more towards archetype support with my choices now which has altered how I rank many of these cards. Currently running Craterhoof Behemoth as elf/NO target. IMO, it's the best green fatty you can run if you support those types of decks. Another nice thing about Craterrhoof is that he's not great in other fattie cheat strategies, making him easier for the green mage to pick up.
I'm also running Chancellor of the Tangle, which looks like a really bizarre choice. But the body is very solid (vigilance specifically is underrated on giant things) and the T1 ramp with no card disadvantage is really strong in a lower powered meta where this sort of thing is exceedingly rare. T1 Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary opener must be answered immediately or you pretty much win if you built a decent deck.
Woodfall Primus is definitely a candidate to be the posterboy of big dumb creatures. Very abusable in Show and Tell / Sneak Attack / Reanimator / Natural Order / Oath of Druids strategies not to mention just ramping into it since he's green. Being able to destroy non-creature permanents is huge for green, and Woodfall Primus is very likely to be bigger than whatever creature it's not able to nuke.
My current green super fattie lineup is Woodfall Primus / Hornet Queen / Terastodon. I'm definitely in the market for one more mono-green super fattie. Pelakka Wurm / Avenger of Zendikar / Craterhoof Behemoth are all good but they each have their own shortcomings that I'm not a fan of.
I love Primus and like many others here run it with Hornet Queen and Terastodon. I think if Craterhoof gets reprinted soon, I'll add that in. I used to play with it and it was awesome in a few decks, but lacks the flexibility of the others. That said, it's so good in those few decks that I want it to be in cube, so my players can experience T1 Fyndhorn Elves T2 Rofellos & Elvish Mystic T3 Craterhoof.

I like young pyromancer a 2/1 on curve that tacks tokens onto your burn/draw is a lot of fun. I like him ALOT more than the more expensive spells matters token guys (like Talrand who I need to cut) since I only need 1 or 2 triggers for him to pay off but if they do kill him straight away he was no worse than a generic 3/2. He helps red go wide, build up a board whilst killing threats, kill attackers that are just out of burn reach etc. for such a little guy he has a bunch of synergies
I don't know if we will see an old pyromancer but I could see an cycle like we got with delver of secrets; a master pyromancer that makes bigger tokens (or maybe ones with haste) or a cocky pyromancer that pumps out more tokens but dies if you control more than X elementals (like edrick (?) master breeder). Either way I hope we see more of this sort of thing in red.
As for Goblin Pyromancer I have a Goblin themed Horde deck and he can be a beast when he hits the table and feels perfectly goblin.
I try and support the spells matter deck, its a lot of fun when it comes together and many of the pieces aren't dead in other strategies.
Young P is sweet. And spells matter is definitely a supportable deck and one of my favorite to build. I don't see cutting it anytime soon.
I don't think we'll see an old pyromancer. Pyromancy is a pretty bold branch of wizardry after all. Quite dangerous. And as the saying goes, there are old wizards and there are bold wizards (like pyromancers) but there are very few old bold wizards.
Young Pyromancer is sweet. It can be one of the centerpieces of a spells matters deck, or it can just be a value beater that makes extra bodies when you cast burn spells. Either way, it's one of the premiere red 2-drops.
I tried supporting spells matters, but the archetype ended up working better cutting all the fringe archetype support and running only the best "spells matters" cards that were god enough to run on their own.
Young P is sweet, but never broken. One of the few remaining cards that has been in my cube from the very beginning. Do you guys think they would've given him prowess too, if he'd been designed after Khans?
I support the spell matters deck hard with almost all the staple cards you can name in Izzet (I would extend it into Jeskai, if I had a Monastary Mentor and a Soulfire Grand Master, but I'm too cheap to buy them right now), except Talrand. He never took off, so I gave his spot to Niblis of Frost (but I'm too impressed with that either).
Young Pyromancer and Monastery Mentor are two cards that never work out for me. I know they're good and I see other people succeed with them, but for some reason I either A.) never draw mine or B.) I draw mine but it dies right away.
Like blink, I found that spells matter works better as a sub-theme than a dedicated archetype. The strong cards (Mentor / Pyromancer / Snapcaster / Jace, VP) are all good on their own and would rather have stronger spells than more spells matters dudes.
Love Peezy, and I think that Spells Matter comes together largely on its own. Every once in a while, I come up with a Grixis list of it rather than Jeskai.

YP is fantastic, and I play it more often than not in aggro decks that only make a token or 2 off of burn and removal spells. Even if it eats removal, that's a great fail case for a 2-drop. Before [cardKari Zev, Skyship Raider]Kari Zev[/card] came out, I would have said YP is easily the best red 2-drop, but he definitely has some serious competition.
I don't deliberately support the spells matter arcehetype in my unpowered cube, but it does often come together as a bit of a subtheme in Boros token decks or Izzet tempo decks with YP and Monastery Mentor and the like. I push it a bit more in my Peasant cube where shallower competition allows some of the weaker enablers like Guttersnipe, Kiln Fiend, and Raise the Alarm to surface as viable options for synergy-based decks.

I like yp alot.
The problem with spells matter theme is there isn't really a card that says build around me. It really needs 1 or 2 more pushed creatures.
I am hoping one day we can get something simular to a
1/1 duble strike prowess creature with some sort of menace or flying etc that could be an izzet card or something else that would make me want to be in the spells matter shell rather than just taking best cards and ending up there on accident
I like Memory Lapse in my tempo and combo decks to buy time. Although I generally like Remand more, it's much harder to re-cast the same spell on the same turn with Memory Lapse. Both Remand / Lapse are brutal against things with additional / alternative casting costs like Toxic Deluge / Fireblast and Suspend spells in general.
My long-term memory is very good. I've had a lot of situations where I talk to somebody about a conversation / experience we had years back and they're always like "wow, you remember that?"
Shor-term memory is a different story... Don't trust me to remember what your exact Chipotle order if I didn't write it down, haha. Something like that isn't worth remembering in the long run.
Memory Lapse is sweet. Sometimes it's not great in certain match ups and spots, but typically that extra turn it can buy you is super helpful.
I'm really good at remembering some things, but have to make concerted efforts with run of the mill *****. For example, I check to see if I have my apartment keys typically ~5 times before I walk out the door and ~2 times as I'm actually stepping through the door. This is not because I'm neurotic, but because I've lost and forgotten enough keys in my time that I'd rather be over cautious and paranoid instead of my typical aloof self with these things and then have an "oh ****" moment later at work or out and about when I realize my keys are locked inside my apartment on the kitchen counter or something stupid like that.
I also have Hornet Queen and Terastodon, with a Dragonlord Atarka hopefully coming soon.
