I run a gold-bordered Grim Monolith and it's the most powerful rock in my cube, and will probably stay that way as I have no intention of going powered anytime soon. My buddy alters cards, and I've got him doing border extensions on the 8 gold-bordered cards in the cube. I love the art, hate the gold border, and think it will look awesome with some smog coming onto the card edges. We'll see how it goes.

We sometime joke that if you do not like your opening seven you can always mulligan into Balance. A great card that should be somewhat built around but does not require a lot of support to make it into maindecks.
I think I'm eating a pretty balanced diet. Still too many carbs, but I'm eating fruits and vegetables daily and drinking mostly water (sometimes beer/wine in the evening).
I love balance. It makes for a little sub game of trying to sculpt the game for a "perfect" balance on your end, and your opponent always has to try and play round it. Even when your not doing winning in all areas of balance it is usually worth it if you can make 2 work (I often find myself wrathing the board, blowing up a land or two but discarding a card).
My diet is pretty terrible; meat, bread and rice are what most of my meals consist of at the minute. I'm currently trying to lose weight at the minute (so I can eat like a pig over christmas) so I'm not even eating a lot of those 3. I have a weird dislike of most vegetables, something about the texture of them when I bite into them, although I have been getting very slightly better in recent years. My one saving grace is I have cut most fatty/sugary snacks out of my diet.

I always kinda liked the gold borders on things; cards that are too powerful/expensive for me to obtain have gold borders, to me it makes them look more special and signals their power level to drafters. I do dislike the signatures on them though.
Obviously if you can get an alter go for that, but I never got peoples dislike of gold borders.
Balance is pretty disgusting and is by far the best white card. It's also one of those interesting cards that's absolutely broken but, because of the amount of work you need to put into it to break it, is pretty OK in my eyes in an unpowered cube. I like it a lot.
My diet constantly changes. Earlier this year I lost ~75 pounds with a very controlled diet where I never ate more than 2000 calories a day. Now I eat more regularly and have gained ~20-30 of those pounds back, but this is a healthier weight for me. (I'm a large human.) I don't always eat healthy, but I eat low-calorie high-nutrient foods during the day so I think that helps.
I run Balance in my unpowered cube, and it's one of the most powerful cards.
Had a sweet play in RW Balance / tokens last week. Wife, my opponent in our 2 person grid draft, was playing green ramp and had fished out every land in her deck with Primeval Titan, which I was nullifying with a Maze of Ith. I had several Young Pyromancer tokens on the field and a Skullclamp, clamped them all, suspended Great Gargadon, floated all my mana, sacced lands to the beast, and cast Balance going down to one land, two cards in hand, and no creatures. She had to scoop because she had no lands left and no way to recur them. It was sweet.

Well said, although if booze and chocolate were food groups my diet would be quite balanced.
I'll also say that I'm as bad at playing Balance as I am at managing my diet. I'm happy to include Balance in my cube because it's a classic card that's very powerful, but I can't play it worth a damn. It might be because I tend to favor more aggressive decks that don't really want board wipes, or I'm just bad at building around this card, but whenever I've run Balance in a cube deck, I've never found myself able to cast it in a way that's actually advantageous even in my more controlling decks. I wind up having to sac too many lands or discard too many cards to actually wind up ahead for a longer game. I respect the power level of Balance, but I now shy away from actually drafting it.
I run a 4th Edition Balance, because it's gotta be Mark Poole art, and the wording on it is the most intuitive of the older versions with no references to "discarding" lands in play or "burying" creatures.

Gee I've pulled off some broken stuff with this over the years. I'm pretty sure I've achieved Balance with Chronatog, Stasis, Zuran Orb and zero untapped creatures before (and I'm pretty sure it caused scoops too, IIRC). Can't say I've played it in Cube before, though... I've probably been too leery of its power (as has the rest of my playgroup, too, TBH).
My fave Balance story, though, comes from here... mulligan to 4, keep a hand of two land, Mox Diamond and Balance, and then commit to playing draw-go together for the next 15mins.
You're actually missing the old frame promo (Ice Age art) in the list of versions. It's my favorite outside of ABU, which I tend not to run because of the unnecessarily weird artifact terminology that can confuse newer players.
I do run Icy for now, partly for nostalgia and partly because my list is a little lower power. It probably won't stick around forever.
I'm guessing you mean the Deckmasters foil. That's my favorite version, too, but I can't hotlink the image file here because it's not on magiccards.info. It just shows the white bordered non-foil Deckmasters edition.
I run it in my Peasant cube, but not my rare cube. There are too many options for spot removal that are much more efficient for 4 + 1 to be attractive outside anything but maybe the slowest of control decks. As iconic as Icy is, I'm not even in love with it for Peasant, but the competition for colorless cards isn't all that deep there.
When the weather's warmer, I love me some frozen mango on a stick.

Just cut this when I went from 450 to 405. Love the effect, love the card, but it's just too slow.

I cut it out of my 450. It's still a card I like a lot for control, but it's just too slow for the cube. ABUR art is the best, followed by Mirrodin. Ice Age is just weird.
I love Icy, but it's currently on the bench. It's one of those cards that's always just on the cusp on in or out. I have a Deckmasters foil that I routinely swap in and out.
I love so many frozen treats that it's hard to narrow it down to just one. Dessert is my favorite. I live about five minutes from a Dairy Queen, so my wife and I go for Sunday night Blizzards quite often. We also typically pick up a half gallon of frozen yogurt rocky road each week at the grocery store (Mayfield's Heavenly Hash for those of you in the the south east).

I do eat a well balanced diet. I don't like processed foods too much, and I make a lot from scratch. Probably should eat fruit more often, though.
