Creeping Tar Pit may be the better manland, but Celestial Colonnade is the single dual land I'm most likely to first pick because it's a fantastic wincon as well as fixing in a classic control guild. The closest thing I have to a gripe about CC is that you have to have an awful lot of mana handy for the vigilance to mean much.
The tallest building I've ever been to the top of is the Columbia Center in Seattle, which was the tallest building on the west coast of the US at the time, but now it's #2. I worked on the 55th floor, but I loved taking coffee breaks on the observation deck on the 73rd floor whenever I got the chance. The fifth tallest building in the world just opened this year in Seoul, I'm gonna have to get up there to check out the view.

I think tar pit is the best mainland, but azorious is the color pair that most wants a mainland, so I'm more likely to pick colonnade than tar pit early. Tar pit is better but less necessary, both are amazing.
Love this Card. There is just something about clearing the board until your opponent has nothing left, then hitting them for 4 in the air to close out the game.
I don't own Celestial Colonnade, but it's on The List.
I'm pretty sure the tallest building I've been to the top of is the observation deck of Baltimore's World Trade Center. It's not that tall of a building though all things considered.
In fact, I would imagine I've actually been higher and been indoors, but that's technically the only tall building where I've been to the top floor.
It allways seemed like a solid card but I have never bothered to pick one up. Going back 2 lands is a massive speed bump, especially if plow under was accelerated out and you are bouncing lands that enter tapped. I think I have avoided it for the sake of fun though, nothing is worse than getting mana screwed, and that is more or less what this card does. If you are already behind on the board it doesn't really do that much to save you.
It's also a word the Americans spell wrong, it should be "plough under".
Things I've Ploughed? There's a joke about mothers there but I'm too high brow to stoop to it... So I'm gonna say no, I have never used a plough.
Arguably my favorite thing to do at the top of the curve for beatdown decks applying pressure. It's just such a huge tempo/resource setback, in addition to being card advantage. If you're winning when Plow Under resolves, you can generally ride that advantage to a win.
I feel the bonus question is loaded; better stay clear of that one.
Plow Under is amazing. Accelerating into it on turn 3 or 4 is just unfair.

I play it in EDH, but not in cube. I know it can really do some work on people if played ahead of the curve, but I've often had it become somewhat of a dead card in hand. When you have board position, or they're mana screwed, it can put your opponent completely out of the game. If they have board position, and you really need to change that, it's probably not going to help you turn the game around.
I have a decent sized garden, but I don't use a plow because it's not that large.
I've always been a bit skeptical of Plow Under because it doesn't affect the board and does so little when you're behind, although I can see how it would be absolutely devastating when ramped into while the opponent's still developing his board.
If I did run this card, it'd have to be the original not only because of the old frame, but also because it actually shows land being plowed under. It could be anything making that dirt fly around in the 9th edition art, and that's unacceptable.
I had no idea plowing could refer to anything other than horticulture or snow removal until I saw some of the comments above, so I looked it up on Urban Dictionary. Oh my. I'm from snowy Buffalo, NY, and when I lived there I plowed more lake-effect snow from my driveway than I ever hope to see again for the rest of my life.

II had no idea plowing could refer to anything other than horticulture or snow removal until I saw some of the comments above, so I looked it up on Urban Dictionary. Oh my.
I think it evolved from old-timey terms like "spreading your seed" or "sowing wild oats". You need to plough the earth to sow the seed.
Dualcaster mage was a bit too expensive. It's much better as a defensive spell i.e. copying your opponent's cards, since it's an effect that can be kind of surprising out of a red deck.
Does Snapcaster count?
-----
Also love plow under. Card is a brutal beating. You typically want it on offense, but it's good at breaking stalemates too.
And I used to be a plow guy i.e. I would plow roads in snow storms. Except I stopped after one season as--in addition to my boss being a ******* ********--the truck I used had no heat! I had to plow with the windows open cause it would get foggy, and I ended up looking like Kurt Russel in the thing by the end of that between my beard and the blistering winds that would pelt my face.
Also plowing is dangerous as ****. Trucks are pretty sturdy and dependable, but it can be ******* insane in some storms.
I thought Dualcaster Mage was gonna be sweet, but in practice it was either too expensive or too red-heavy to fit into a lot of windows where I needed him to fit. A 2R cost would've done a lot for it, I think.
i've got it in my list and think its fine. like mentioned above its mostly used to copy my opponents spells not used to double a spell that I have already cast. works great against control shells when you essentially get blue card draw in the form of a red body. awesome when used against counterspells like cryptic command where you counter their cryptic and get the card draw.
2R would have been fantastic but I still like the card design.
I love Dualcaster Mage, but my experience has been similar. When you're sitting there with it in your hand, it doesn't quite live up to what you thought it was going to be.
It's still in my cube because I prioritize cards that have a chance at a really fun/interesting interaction over generic goodstuff, but it's on the watch list.
Reiterate is my favorite spell-copying effect. Ahhh, Time Spiral block.
I love Dualcaster but feel like I have to force the issue with him but I am sucker for these kinda cards. They costed him out of being a Cube staple. I feel like he is one more amazing red creature away from the biting the dust.
I never tried Dualcaster Mage due to that bad feedback, though I have one ready and may give it a try just to experience it myself.
I wish it cost 1R 2/1 though, could be broken, but we have Snapcaster, right?
My favorite copy spell is Radiate, but honestly I have never played with it. Just seems fun to pull off.
As much as I like the idea of having a playable Fork variant, there just aren't enough decks that want to get cute by holding up 1RR hoping to be able to copy someone else's spell or pay that extra to copy their own often enough for me to expect this to see much play. I remember how much hype there was for this card based on theorycraft, and how much the price eventually dropped since it was released. This card is a prime example of why I'm glad that some players on this board like wtwlf123 take the time to proxy up newly spoiled cards early, test them with their playgroups, and let the rest of us know how they play in cube so we can find out early which cards won't live up to the hype. With this card, there were reports within a day of release that this card wasn't really suitable for cube.
I almost feel sorry for this card. Based on the name, the initial hype, and the fact that WoTC released a judge foil of this card I think they expected this to be the second coming of Snapcaster Mage.
No spell copying effect really seems to cut it for cube yet, but I do get a kick out of wreaking havoc with Wild Ricochet in EDH. Holding up mana for a full round is more likely to pay off in multiplayer than in quick-and-dirty cube duels, so for now it looks like that's where this kind of effect belongs.

I wanted to love Dualcaster Mage, but as many had said before: it's to clunky. I mean, yeah, there's christmas dream land where you copy Cruel Ultimatium or Genesis Wave or some other haymaker. And that's a fun thought. But its most common use might be counter target counterspell and that's not worth 1RR, so I've never included it in cube. (Had some in EDH with it though)

I've been to the observation deck in the Empire State Building and at the Sky Tower, Auckland, NZ.
Thanks for sharing, I've never heard about it before. Will definitely check it out the next time in Seoul (whenever that might be)
