I ran Bloodgift Demon in an early iteration of my cube, but it's slow and it sucks, basically. If it were a 5/5 or even a 4/5 to survive Wildfire and Languish, I'd be a little happier about it, but the card draw is slow and black has plenty of self-damage already without adding more. Was very happy to add Custodi Lich when it came out. So much better.

The only demons I am running are Griselbrand and rakshasa gravecaller which is kind of a pet card for me. I have a bit of a zombie tribal theme so I like him as a 5cmc black creature. Guy was amazing in KTK limited and decided to carry on with him into the cube.
Bloodgift Demon wasn't popular in even the earliest days of my cube, a 5-drop that flunks the Vindicate test usually doesn't cut it unless it just ends the game fast. This doesn't.
I'm running Griseldaddy, which is a fantastic cheat target, and Tombstalker, which can usually come in at a really deep discount. Rakshasa Gravecaller's doing decent work in my Peasant cube, but I'd almost forgotten jt's a demon till Visserdrix mentioned it because if doesn't fly.

Kitchen Finks is sick. Good against pretty much every deck except non-interactive combo. Speaking of combo, love to run it with Muzzio's Preparations. Those two + sac outlet = GG
I'm OK at what I know, but I don't always love cooking. To me, spending time to make a meal is a waste of time unless it's what I want to do in that moment--I'm never going to be a chef and the time spent cooking food feels like wasted time except for the 5-30 minutes it takes to finish a meal, and that's if I don't **** up what I'm making. Time is so precious and when I think about all the time I've lost to cooking meals when I only enjoy those meals temporarily and fleetingly, it makes me sick. I get that food means different things to different people and for some the process is really exciting, and I love food and eating it and exploring what's out there, but I pretty much only cook for myself and maybe 1 or 2 others. Like, I get out of work at 5, get home about 5:30, and then have roughly ~5 hours before bed. If ~20% of that time is spent cooking + eating, that ends up being 5 hours a week doing something that's not going to make an impact on me except for energy reasons. Like when I think about last night, I remember the magic I played not the food I ate; the night before I remember hanging out not the food; the night before I hung out with my gf and that's what I remember. Adding it all up really makes me like it less and less, and again I get that that's not the same for everyone and power to anyone who likes cooking, it's just not for me.
This is why I love crock pot roasts or food prep. I spend ~30-60 mins preparing food for the crock pot, and then it makes food for 5+ days, and it turns out delicious. Making a pork roast is awesome as it can be for carnitas or pan fried or put on a sandwich or etc, and it takes very little effort to produce something delicious.
Kitchen Finks is a good creature. The lifegain provides some tempo recovery, and persist usually equates to a 2-for-1. No complaints about Finks at all.
Kitchen Finks is cool but a copy for a reasonable price has eluded me so far. I got into Magic right when Pod was banned, didn't play any decks that needed it when it was reasonable in cost, and then when I started building my cube last May or so, it was $10+. For an uncommon. I figured they'd reprint it in MM2017, but no dice. I'm going to bite the bullet when I buy the couple of cards I need from MM2017 anyway. I can't wait to sac it to Braids.

Kitchen Finks has all the hallmarks of a great cube card: good stats, hybrid mana cost, life gain, recursion, Natural Order fodder, goofy art / name... 360 staple in my book.
I like to cook, but I hate to clean so I normally cook in batches. One of my goals is to step up my cooking game within the next two years, just haven't had the time to really sit down and grind / study.
On top of what everyone else has said about Kitchen Finks and how good it is as a 2-for-1, sac fodder, great to recur, combo piece, and more, it also fills that weak spot green 3-drop creatures that can be ramped into off a turn 1 elf. It's fantastic against aggro decks, and solid in an aggro deck, and the fact that it's a hybrid lets it slot into that many more decks. It's not the flashiest card, but it's an extremely solid and versatile card that it's hard to imagine being outclassed ever. In fact, it's held the #1 Selesnya spot in the Power Rankings every year we've done them since 2010.
I'm running the FNM promo, even if the art's goofy, it was way cheaper than getting a pack foil.
Most interesting thing about Finks is where people classify him.
When I originally designed my cube, I allowed each guild two slots for hybrids and/or split cards on top of the 4 gold cards I allow each guild. I've since cut many of those for colorless cards, but Kitchen Finks more than justifies that slot.

Yeah, I was surprised to see it wasn't reprinted, too, since MM2017 is multi-color focused. I don't see it getting any cheaper, and this even though it isn't a rare, it does justify it's price tag.

I'm with you there, doing all the work of cooking an elaborate meal and then having to do all the dishes yourself is a bit much when you're living on your own. When I was single, and when left to my own devices I'll usually make one big pot of chili, stew, clam chowder, or something like that and let it be dinner for most of the week. My wife's a much better cook than I am, though, so even though I'm not bad in the kitchen I'm happy to let myself be relegated to dishwashing detail.

Siphoner has been fine, even as the only E card in the deck. The evasion is useful, and the card advantage is relatively reliable. It's not the greatest creature, but it's a fine filler body in my 540 cube.
I liked Siphoner's original text (that they scrapped) where she had an ETB effect that let you search your library for either the legendary equipment "Glint Sleeve" or any equipment with CMC 2 or less and put it into hand. Bummer that Saheeli's magnificent creation, the "Glint Sleeve" proved too warping for standard and AER limited, where it had Jitte-like oppression upon the format.
J.K.-she's an alright 2 drop beater with her current text

Hadn't heard this. We almost had a new 360 staple, sounds like. Bummer.
I don't run this card because I don't care for how E looks on cards and no card with it is any better than filler, I've found. I'd get over my aesthetic dislike if there was a slam-dunk card that involved it, but they all seem to be replacement-level at best.

Yeah Mike, you probably hadn't heard about that one, because I made it up this morning as I was looking at the picture and daydreaming about what could have been...
Glint-Sleeve Siphoner is a cool card and is one of the better Dark Confidant knock-offs, evasion + occasional card draw is fine for a 2-drop. Siphoner is pretty near the bottom of my 2-cmc black creature slot, but it just shows you how high the floor has been raised over the years.
Haven't been to an FNM since around last Halloween, the only retail limited action I have for these days are pre-releases

Care to elaborate more on this story (if possible)? I tried googling it but kept running into deck lists. Did a designer / developer say this on Twitter or something? I dug through some MARO articles but couldn't find anything.
I haven't tried Glint-Sleeve Siphoner, but it seems enough worse than both Dark Confidant and Asylum Visitor that I just can't get excited enough about this card to want to give it a slot. I'd rather run something completely different than bother with a 3rd rate Bob at 450. It would also be my only energy card, so the risk of a false signal is another (minor) strike avainst it.
I may not be excited about this card, but I am excited for the upcoming Return to Kaladesh, where it's rumored that they'll finally be printing the much-awaited Glint Sleeve. Now might be the time to start speccing on Stoneforge Mystic. You heard it here first.
