Looks like we have another red 1-drop to consider! It's an interesting mix of Raging Goblin, Reckless Waif, and Goblin Glory Chaser. I'm not sure where to rank this exactly without testing it, but I could see trying it over any of the placeholders most of us are running in our red sections.

I think this is easily better than Waif - both creatures will put out 3 damage if they transform on turn 1 and swing on turn 2 (assuming you are on the play), but menace will allow this creature to keep dealing damage later in the game than Waif. Still, my issue with Waif is that it doesn't transform as much as I'd like it to, and this will have an identical problem. Now that we have another 2/1 for R I don't think I'm in the market for an improved Waif. Still, might test over Glory Chaser because this card looks fun to play, but I think it's fringe at best.
I like this more than Reckless Waif but not as much as Glory Chaser. I'd test this in a heartbeat if we just didn't get Falkenrath Gorger, but not sure if I have space for another one-drop.
Having to get in once with glory chaser seems much better than the constant flipping here. Haste certainly adds something but my guess is that it will replace/supplement Waif in larger lists. Waif comes in and out of my list but I think the Glutton has already sealed it's permanent exit.

Agree.. This is easily better than waif.
1/1 haste is a lot better than a 1/1. 1/1 haste is not too far from a 2/1 in terms of average damage output. It takes two connects for a 2/1 to outpace a 1/1 haste by 1 damage, and think the average # of connects for a 2/1 is probably 2 or something in that range. Then you consider it getting past blockers a turn before they come out, sorcery speed wrath type effects. When you add in the value of upside variance of multiple connects, it's clear a 2/1 is better, but the gulf between the haste and the non-hasted body is big.
Then a 2/2 menace is probably on par with a 3/2? and it's going to be in this mode less than half the time (so if a 3/2 is marginally better, the main side is strictly better).
Question is if this is better than jackal pup or stromkirk noble? I'm leaning towards no, as the flipside is likely too inconsistant, but think it warrents testing to be sure.
Menace is great at pushing damage through, especially in the colour that can burn other small potential blockers. I'd take a 2/2 menace over a 3/2 more than half the time, and the haste makes the front side much better than Reckless Waif already. Haste is what gives Monastery Swiftspear a decent floor making her a good (though not consistent) 1-drop in aggro.
Waif and Swiftspear have been in and out of my cube so I'm down to give this guy a go. I've been very happy with Goblin Glory Chaser though so I'd have to find a different cut for testing. With Falkenrath Gorger also coming in perhaps the pup's days are numbered. Kind of makes me sad.
This guy came out last in a draft last night and performed very well. Turn one for 1, turn two for 1 and flipped and then was evasive, he ended up putting in about 8-10 damage before being stopped. I think the flip has been better than renown for us. Goblin Glory Chaser was never main decked.
