Even if Emrakul is in your cube, black / white decks have no way to put him into play unless you're playing some really fringe cards or are splashing green / blue / red.
It is hard, but Corpse Dance and Doomed Necromancer can. Or maybe you are playing Esper with Show and Tell also.
This is a neat planeswalker, but I am not sure it can make top 6 in Orzhov after we also got Anguished Unmaking.
Do you think it is better than Gerrard's Verdict? I think it might be.
I am pretty sure Sorin is better by the mere virtue of being a planeswalker, and cube offering fewer ways to actually answer them.
Still, neither of them crack my top 3 but if I had to pick one for 4th, I would lean towards this new Sorin.
Emrakul or not, you have to admit, the Vampiric tutor interaction is nice. Even putting a card with a CMC of 5 on top would feel great.
Exactly. I wasn't trying to imply Sorin works with Emrakul but that he works well with Vampiric Tutor or any of the like tutors (Worldly Tutor at al). Emrakul, the Aeons Torn was just the fatty I happened to think of when I was writing the post.
I actually like Sorin, Grim Nemesis. He has such high starting loyalty that he will be hard for opponents to deal with, and the ability to take out a creature and gain life at the same time is great protection when on the defensive. I put him above Sorin, Solemn visitor but well below Sorin, Lord of Innistrad. I'll be happy replacing the former with the new version.
I prefer every other Eldrazi Titan over Emrakul because they're more castable. The BFZ / OGW versions of Ulamog and Kozilek are especially great since they can be reanimated where the originals (Shallow Grave when shenanigans aside) cannot.
Sorin flipping Emrakul would be kind of flavorful though. Sorin was hiding him this whole time on Innistrad!
It's not a staple by any means but I run it because it's the biggest strongest creature of all time, and playing with cards like that is what cubes for. (its not like its super out of place in a 360 powered cube with ways to cheat it out, but I agree a newer eldrazi would probably be more efficient.
Average cube on CubeTutor isn't a great place to look at when evaluating cards IMO. Every lilst is different and has different synergies. Some may like it, some may not. But, nyone who runs those 4 cards and Channel would want to add Emrakul at some point. Anyway, Grim Nemesis isn't suppose to be in the same deck as Emrakul, so I guess we're off topic.
Most of my testing is from Standard, but I did get a few cube drafts in with it. Plain and simple, it's really hard to kill, really good at helping you stabilize, and just buries your opponent if not immediately dealt with. Lifegain and reach on a walker is really powerful, since it has powerful effects on the game state outside of the usual "kill the walker" subgame. Best of all, the WCS is Hero's Downfall + Gain 6 life, which is totally a card you're ok with paying 6 mana for in many situations.

In which world no one plays emrakul in cube? This card is a pure staple lock IMO.
Oath of Druids, Sneak Attack, Through the Breach and Show and Tell would all be mad without their best friend.

I disagree with both of you, actually. I'd hardly call it a staple. But it's definitely a card that shows up in cubes.
I play all of those cards you listed, and have been much happier with my composition without Emrakul.

Oh yeah, you're right, an Eureka deck would defitnitly want both of them. My bad. But I mean, other that, they don't naturally belong together.
