This card seems pretty fantastic as a Man-O'-War with two upsides (toughness boost and keeping the opponent from recasting their creature) and two downsides (is multicolor and it cannot bounce your own creatures (though occasionally, when desperate on an empty board, this will be a positive)). Thoughts?
This card is solid, I just don't know if it is enough as a multicolor card. If it could bounce your own creatures I'd be pretty much sold, as is... requires more discussion!
Wow, this card is annoying. It's certainly cubeable, no question about that, and I love the art! I don't see this cracking the top 4 of Azorius, but I can see arguments for this over Sphinx's Revelation.
This is the first WU creature that I truly like for my cube. Unlike the admittedly more powerful Geist of Saint Traft, this plays well on the offense and on the defense, which is important since most Azorius decks are leaning towards the latter. I also like it more than Dragonlord Ojutai which would have been just another finisher in a color combination that already has access to a few good ones.
Being multicolor is a big drawback for another Man-o'-War variant, but both the 3rd toughness and the recast delay for the bounced creature are revelant upsides that seem to be worth the second color. I can't remember ever bouncing my own creature with Man-o'-War, so I don't think the restriction here is a real drawback.
Long story short: I am very happy about this card and will cube it for sure.
I'm leaning towards a definite yes for my cube as well. As Star Slayer pointed out, this creature plays well on both offense and defense, either clearing a defender for two attack steps, or buying you time by stopping their best (unhasty) threat for two attack steps. The three toughness will also be super relevant. Recursion/bounce shenanigans will be REALLY strong with this card too. Now I just have to decide if I'm cutting Ojutai or Revelation...
This is an amazingly solid little uncommon, seems absolutely absurd in normal limited (and a windmill slam in my MC cube). I think this card sits at 5 in azorious, ahead of venser but behind sphere/verdict. So, if your guild sections have 5 non-lands, I think you test this for sure (unless Venser is part of an archetype your pushing.)
This card goes really well with Geist since they both want to be in the same deck. Play geist, next turn play this dude and have an open path for geist, get to be specifically creature-free for a turn...seems great!
Seems like a great limited card too, and I could certainly see it getting some constructed play if we see a deck where he would fit in pop up. This is an extremely powerful card and I imagine it might be one of those mythic uncommon that sees play in multiple formats. Maybe I'm overrating the card but Im really impressed with the strength of this card.
For your troubles, you get another toughness and a delay clause, which tempo decks, even control decks, blink decks, will be super happy about. Definitely worth considering depending on how your cube is setup.
Aww, I just wished you could return your own creatures aswell for another ETB trigger the following turn. That mode would rarely be used, but I like having the option.
It is certainly a good card and it will probably find its way into my cube.
Oh that sweet, sweet tempo. I can't wait to try this, and I'm extremely surprised they were willing to print this effect at such a reasonable cost.
Yeah, considering they pushed man-o-war up to 1UU, then 2UU, I'm pretty surprised to see a 3 cmc one with two kinds of upside (extra point of toughness and the no cast clause) even as a gold card.
I may actually slot this in as Azorius card #3. It supports tempo - a deck I love - and I've begun to think there are too many Wraths in my cube so I question the need for Supreme Verdict.

I think you're right. Verdict is unnecessary. I have 6 wraths in my cube not counting this and I don't need it. Otherwise I'll probably cut Venser, the Sojourner
Verdict / Detention Sphere may be redundant, but they always make the cut in any UW deck, can't say the same for Ojutai and Sphinx's Revelation.
I think his card is more useful overall than Sphinx's Revelation, this will always make the cut in any tempo deck. Control has more than enough support IMO, tempo could always use more love though.
Also, I just noticed that this card is an uncommon! I was worried about these being expensive because of Standard....
I might try this guy over Dragonlord Ojutai or Sphinx's Revelation. They are played in similar decks but while both are good curve toppers SR is a much better stabilizer. Pretty sure Ojutai will be the cut.
This card is really good, I might redo my Azorius section into blink/tempo and a little less control.
UW control doesn't really need a lot (any?) help. If you support blink/tempo I think the slots are better served as archetype support.
I agree, id think id rather support a different archetype than have cards like Ojutai. I ran Lyev Skyknight for a long time and it was a solid role player for the tempo deck. Ill probably re-add him, this new guy and momentary blink to go along with Venser.

Well, if you can still blink this guy though, and if you do it's great.

If I were to give the most overrated card in powered cube reward it would be to man-o-war, so part of the reason I'm not overly ecstatic.
