Woodland Wanderer has been solid for us. I happily run him in most G/x decks and jam in any duals I have in my pool; green rarely has any problems generating off colour mana so it usually hits the board as a 5/5 or 6/6.
Even as its floor a 4/4 for 4 with vigilance and trample isn't too embarrassing, I have NEVER seen him as a 3/3 and would be very surpassed if i ever did.
It is a fine card but more of a placeholder than something truly great. I have a few other green four drops at 720 that I consider interchangeable with the treefolk.
It's a great mid-range aggro card that worked very well in my cube since I run a lot of mana dorks that tap for multiple colors. The problem in my playgroup is that we tend to undervalue green aggro cards so it wasn't seeing any play. With a few more cards like this, I'll happily place it back in.
