Anyone interested in the new mythic green six drop? This guy can grab anything from Kitchen Finks to Reclamation Sage to Eternal Witness. Pretty much the only card he can't nab is Rofellos. On the downside, I wish he could grab creatures of any color and that he had Trample, but as is I think he is at least worth discussing. What does everyone think?
It looks okay, but I'm still skeptical. It's probably good enough, but it is just lacking the wow factor. Trample would've been nice, as would a 6th point of toughness, or the ability to get a target of any color. I don't know. It's a fine card, it just doesn't excite me.

I'm feeling the same way. I think it will definitely require testing to see if it makes the cut in most cubes. Downsides I see:
-Lack of Trample makes it not a super scary attacker on it's own.
-Green 1-3 drops tend to be high quality creatures, but most don't effect the board at ETB. It can grab Rec Sage or Sex Monkeys which is great, but what other viable targets does it have that can really mess with the opponents board?
-How does this card help a green deck win vs. control? I don't know.
-Seems like it might be a little durdly. Grabbing Yavimaya Elder or Courser of Kruphix is great value, but is it all that scary?

I agree with the "worth testing but not exciting" premise. That said, this is the kind of card where if he doesn't pan out, all it would take is one bonkers green 3 drop to make me want to play him. Right now there's a lot of utility 3 drops that he could fetch, which is nice, but utility 3 drop isn't where I really want to be at 6 mana on my curve.
The green version of Brimaz, Pack Rat, or Geist of Saint Traft though? Something that is a must-answer threat that ends games on it's own? That would make me want to include this, where it could either be toolbox or game game changer if your draft goes well. In some cubes Knight of the Reliquary could be close to that, but this guy tutoring up Knight really just seems worse than Primeval Titan I think.

Prime Time has been in and out of my cube and has never had a big impact. However, if and when we get the enemy manlands, he'll definitely make the cut. I just re-added Raging Ravine over Xenagos and am considering bringing the Titan back (for a fourth time) anyway. Most of the time, I rather get a random three drop than two extra lands, but if those lands are also resilient threats in their own right (i.e. manlands), then that's much better.

Makes sense. I run manlands as manafixers and run all but theGW one, so Primetime has probably had a bigger impact over the years for me than he has for you. If Woodland Bellower (MOOSEBEAR??!) had trample he would probably be a no brainer over Primetime, but as I don't know.
I like this guy a lot, even in the absence of trample and powerhouse green 3 (or less) drops. Dropping this and a goyf seems like a ton power for 6; this and witness as Swiss-army knife a play as you would ever want; and this and Primordial Hydra - a card I think I'll reconsider - delightful in super ramp type environments.
At first glance I prefer Primeval Titan. Trample and significantly improving draws has been pretty high impact in our games. Still, this guy is a very good creature and I'm a fan of toolbox dudes.
Oh I first missed the "green" word on this fatty. Oh crap that keyword sucks so much! I can live with the nonlegendary one but this is one is just too much of a restriction. I've just made a list of possible target that are valuable enough and it seems not that great at all. They're all from my own list but it should look approximativly the same for everyone.
But in all seriousness when the card was loading and I saw a 6 mana green creature mythic I was really excited. My group does not consider 6 mana to be in the super fatty fatty control area for green, so this won't compete with hornet queen et al.
Prime Time has be ok and the lands are a nice consolation when he gets killed but it is still good enough. My number 2 6 drop is Silvos, Rogue Elemental. That card was cut in favor or another 5 drop (which I have too many of). So really the Moosebear just needs to be better than Prime Time or my worst 5 drop.
AS for the card itself, 6/5 is no slouch, especially since you will be getting at least a bear. The only green makes it worse but not alot worse as you are already playing green and it has most of the utility stuff. Not getting True Name, Brimaz, Master of the Feast or any of the big beaters is a bummer but nto a killer. 4 CMC would have made this a snap include still not a killer.
The biggest downside is no trample or other evasion (Menace would have been cool). This alone makes is potentially worse that Silvos.
On a plus side I tried to imagine it in the common green decks I play. In the GSZ toolbox deck this card is amazing, fetching it and second creature is big game. The G/W fair deck can go grab finks or voice of resurgence which is awesome. Natural Order Decks get two bodies for one minimizing the card disadvantage but any of the 7+ fatties are better. R/G midragne doesn't want this; it doesn't push through damage or get anything real interesting.
So in total I will probably try it ove Prime Time for a while but it will likely be a snap cut for a better 6 drop of if I miss the Titan.

Im not really that impressed. Like, the BCS is potentially awesome, but the WCS is a card I'd be hesitant to run in regular limited if your targets suck. Maybe if people say it kicks ass Ill consider it, but a pretty easy pass.

The replacement effect that makes Primordial Hydra ETB with X counters gets that value from the X in the casting cost. If the Hydra is not being cast, X=0.

If that's the case, I think that's more the fault of your cube than any failing of this guy. Are you only referring to 12 "all-stars"? Surely you must have lots of other valid targets, even if you're just getting birds or something. I'm at 620, don't support green aggro and still have 17 creatures I'd be OK tutoring up (and another 9 mana dorks I can grab in a pinch).
*edit* I was only thinking of mono-green creatures! Add another 7 sweet gold cards to the potential tutor pile. Voice of resurgence? Deathrite Shaman? Edric? I might be back on the hype train!
Armada Wurm is a monster compared to this guy, but it's not the best comparison, to be sure.
Also, you can't get Edric, he's legendary.

Like, when this guy gets the perfect card, it nets me value that I would expect to be getting from a 6cc cube threat. - Searched for Green creature of 4cmc or less
- Searched for 3 cmc creature of any color.
