Immediate thoughts: I love it.
It's a mana cheaper than Siege-Gang Commander and makes flying tokens. Can also sac mana rocks and probably a larger number of targets than SGC can in an average deck, especially if you're running stuff like Feldon, Daretti, and Goblin Welder.
It only makes 2 tokens and it costs 1 more to shock (and can't shock with itself), but I don't care. This card is goood.

I agree, I also really like it. It's more support for artifact deck and red tokens at the same time. It's another different option at the red 4 slot, like the new Dragon was, beyond aggro curve topper creature (Hero, Hellrider), Avalanche Riders and Flametongue Kavu. It makes topdecking those moxen pretty attractive, in particular.
Yeah, this seems pretty good, especially if you support the tokens deck.
Even in it's WCS, it's 4 mana for 4 power spread across 3 creatures, 2 of which have evasion. Once you can start blinking, have token synergies/anthems, or have artifacts to sac they just get better! This seems like a good, strong testable.
What a fantastic cube card. Good power/cost ratio on its own, built-in direct damage, removal & reach, and makes evasive threats in red!
Sweet card for token decks, an awesome support card for the artifact.dec, has great synergy with Feldon, Recruiter and Alesha (plus 'Lark too) and it's also great on its own. A+
Intro pack rares usually have alternate-art, so depending on the art difference, it may not be quite as easy, but based on the info with Hixus, it should be.
Very interesting card that can play in multiple archetypes.
RR is not that great for the artifact deck, where I see red more as a support color for blue and black, but ok. Works well with my new token engine archetype. Especially Outpost Siege.
The cut for me will be either Blistering Firecat or Ember Swallower. I would not cut Hero of Oxid Ridge. Btw, Hero has nice synergy with Chandra's parents. They are actually good in any RX aggro deck that has a few anthem/battlecry effects.
This is better in at least 4 ways (unless you have a Goblin Tribal theme I guess).
For a long time I have pondered trying to get beetleback into my list, but this is miles better and will make my cube for sure. I have been trying out some others instead of Hero but I am going to have to think hard how to find room for this because it is a slam dunk.
Synergizes with almost every common supported cube archetype and is fringe playable by itself in good stuff decks, awsome!

In the same boat as annex... Think the card I'm mostly likely to cut is Chandra, Pyromaster. lol. Bad mentors!
My group has urged me to keep Krenko, Mob Boss for the longest time ... I think I can finally convince it of a replacement. I think Hellrider, Oxid Ridge, FTK and Avalanche Riders still beat this card, but not by much.
Out of all the slots in the cube, I think I'm happiest with the red 4 slot, especially at 2RR I'm not saying this isn't a good card, but its competition is

Plays super duper well with our artifact-loving cards from CMDR2014, especially Daretti.
I like that they they introduce "red fliers" that aren't dragons.

This guy is awesome. Plays well with a lot of what red wants to do. Purphoros, artifacts, earthquakes, burn0reach. Sweet card.
