I'm very optimistic about how playable this much more threatening and durable (though admittedly more expensive and a gold card) this new Sower of Temptation that can take Planeswalkers is.
I may test this out over U/B Sygg. The ability to steal planeswalkers is a minor bonus, and coming on a 3/5 flier with deathtouch is also nice. Costing 6 is a lot, but it's potentially a huge swing.
IDK, stealing planeswalkers seems to be a HUGE upgrade as they essentially have haste, and you can sculpt the game in a way that you can ultimate what you steal the turn this dragon hits the board for a tremendous swing.
I initially passed over this card as "another janky dragon" but I think this Dragonlord may warrant testing. Compared to Sower of Temptation, for an extra color and two mana you get +1/+3, deathtouch, and the ability to steal walkers. Seems pretty strong to me. I feel like this guy would play great in U/B/x control, and I really like how wizards is printing more cards that interact with walkers.
I will definitely test this over Psychatog who has not done much for our group in a while. 6cmc is not that much when you compare it to Sower of Temptation who appears in any deck who drafts it and is much more likely to be killed (burn, doom blade ect). As well, the ability to take a planeswalker is huge seeing that there are so many planeswalkers in cubes and that you often only need them for one turn to screw up your opponents plans.
I think this is the best U/B card, unless you have a powered cube where Tezz is insane. Stealing a Planeswalker is a huge upgrade to Sower, since you can scuplt the game in a way that you can steal a planeswalker and immediately ultimate it, which should win you the game almost every time. This costs more than Sower, but is significantly more difficult to remove, and is obviously a much better combat creature. I will be playing this for sure.
This card is undeniably powerful, but man, 6 mana. I've setup my UB section as a tempo deck, and most of the cards support that archetype. Definitely worth testing on power alone. Actually though, this card works in a Grixis/NicolBolas style control deck nicely, one slot to support this is probably ok.
I am also facing the "Psychatog vs Shadowmage Infiltrator" decision and I am not sure if either one is the right cut for another fatty. It is a really cool (and resilient) Sower of Temptation variant though...
I'm still skeptical. The effect is no doubt powerful, but this is a precious gold slot, and how much better of a finisher is this than something like Consecrated Sphinx? It doesn't exactly pass the removal test with flying colors.

Can confirm, have 360 powered cube, Tezz is insane.
I currently run Ashiok(Since we are talking about dimir cards, this card is still great and I would recommend it for any dimir section) and Tezzeret agent of bolas at 360 and both are just amazing. While costing 6 is a huge, huge downgrade from Sower of Temptation, stealing planeswalkers and the fatter butt, might make this a good card.
Baleful great.
I'm going to move tar pit back to a land slot and test this guy.
I don't think I can replace Tezzeret, Tar Pit or Strix with this card... but it's really strong. But then again, artifacts wants to be U/R in my cube, so maybe I can look at replacing the PW. Decent upgrade on Sower for the mana, for certain.
The price is fine, but UB is already a strong control pairing. I hate cutting one of my UB tempo cards, since tempo is a build that needs a bit more help. Still, walkers are so popular in cube that another way to steal them may be worth it.

It has a number of features that make it strong against removal. It's black, which avoids a reasonable percentage of the cubes removal. It's a 5 butt, which does the same. You can shape the game to steal a planeswalker, ultimate it, and likely just win the game.
And there's the fact that it's smaller cousin, Sower of Temptation, costs 4 mana, dies to everything, offers a very weak body, and is still an excellent cube card.

Sower is mono-colored (not gold), and costs 4 instead of 6 which is huge. This guy is worthless against aggro, unlike sower. Yes, stealing planeswalkers is great, and yes, this is probably testable, but sower it ain't.
If he's an Elder Dragon, I don't see why he shouldn't nab two creatures/planeswalkers.
But hey, he's pretty close to playable as is. I liked his Fate Reforged version quite a bit too, but this one is marginally better and I'll definitely test it.

I'm interested in hearing more about this world where 3/5 fliers for 6 are worthless against aggro but 2/2 fliers for 4 aren't. Seems to me that Sower is going to come down earlier, then get immediately removed by almost anything, and you're going to wish you had your 4 mana back. Silumgar isn't going to win you anything if he's the first thing you do, but if you're controlling the board and then you play him, he actually stops many of their attackers (unlike sower) and is much harder to kill.

What does being multi colored have to do with anything? I was comparing its impact to Sower's, not attempting to replace Sower. Dimir is not a super competitive cube guild, so this can definitely earn a spot.
And this guy is decidedly not worthless against Aggro. It comes down and immediately stabilizes the board, and is difficult for most aggressive decks to remove. It even answers planeswalkers out of aggressive decks that normally a nightmare for U/B decks.
Strong card, but 6 mana is a lot, as is the 2-color requirement. This is no Sower of Temptation, but it's a decent option for medium sized cubes. I would not cut Tog, Strix or Tezz for it though.

Only so many 6 mana spells I want in my decks and as far as 6 mana cards go in cube, he seems below par...

I'd consider him if he was much better than the 6cmc creatures in black and blue but that isn't the case at all.
