What do people think of Monastery Siege? I think both versions are useful, but I'm not sure whether my 400 card cube can run it, since I'd usually rather have Thassa.

Khans - At the beginning of your draw step, draw an additional card, then discard a card.
Dragons - Spells that opponents cast that target you or a permanent you control cost an additional 2 to cast.

I opened one last year, got two crap worldwake packs and 8x scathe zombies, which I promptly hid around my sister's apartment for her roommates to find. But, yeah, it was a piece of crap.

Not good enough. The second mode is weak, and almost never worth it. The first mode is fine, and especially nice if you also want stuff in the yard, but it's just a merfolk looter that''s harder to kill. Probably not worth spending three mana on.
If I want to fill the graveyard in blue, I'd rather run Enclave Cryptologist, Looter il-Kor, Waterfront Bouncer, Frantic Search, and Compulsive Research. If I just want card draw/selection, there are those plus Jace Beleren. I don't see this as able to compete with those plus some others that are commonly run. The second ability is rarely going to be worth it. I can't see this making it in unless you have a giant cube or your cube is tweaked in some way to really, really want looting (that doesn't start until turn 4).
Yet another Siege that has a bad second mode. If the second mode were better, then it might be worth the cost of 3 mana. As is, only the first mode is truly interesting. And I think Thassa does something similar than that, plus a lot more for her cost.
Seriously, all those Sieges need to cost 1 less or have a second mode that gives them a worthwile flexibility.
I agree with others - I like the card, but I don't like it for my cube. I do run Thassa, but I can't see this replacing her, and I don't need both effects.
