I've had a couple plays with TtB where it was better for me than Sneak Attack. There are quite a few games where you don't even use SA more than once. And in all those cases, this card can be an instant where relevant and only requires one R to surprise your opponent with the effect. Sneak Attack is the better card, to be sure ...but Through the Breach is a good card, and if you support red reanimator or red artifact-graveyard decks or fatty cheating decks (or hell, even Gruul ramp decks), it should be up for consideration. At least for testing.
I just found a Through the Breach I had no idea I owned (woot!). Is it good enough to run at 450? I do support Sneak Attack, Show and Tell, Eureka, Natural Order, Tinker, and reanimator.
Its good enough to run at 360, but I feel even at 450, there are too many other cheat cards like through the breach. I mean powerlevel wise if other cheat cards didn't exist I would run TtB, but through the breach just proved to be TOO much cheat in my 360, it warped the entire cube into sneak and show vs other archetypes.
How do people feel about Through the Breach in 2020? I think this might be better in cubes running more of the Eldrazi with Annihilator -- not sure it has a home in cubes with less high end targets that have immediate devastating impacts when attacking. Thoughts?
If you support Sneak Attack, especially with Eldrazi, then TtB is terrific. I also like it as a back up plan in reanimator, Natural Order, Oath, and Tinker decks. Since I support all of those, TtB is not at all on the verge of cutting.
