This is basically a large set right? Large sets have 2-3 Planeswalkers and we already know he tangles with a Rakdos torture-walker. Think we could get a really good Rakdos walker too? I'd kill for a strong 1RB planeswalker.
I really like Augury a lot. Much more than Charm and Electrolyze.

I do too, it was quite good for us. However, Ral is better, and we like Fire // Ice slightly more still, so Augury will likely be the cut for this beast.
I've got a feeling those 13 cards that are not legal will be the "conspiracy" type cards spoiled at PAX.
Probably.
I'm hoping that somehow Blast from the Past gets reprinted and becomes legacy/vintage legal in this set. It won't but that won't stop me from futilely hoping.

We can cross our fingers for a functional reprint though.

Rest in RIP My Signature, I guess. 2015-2016, we hardly knew ye.
Total side note but I like how people are discussing running this over itself.
Well, it has to be said that Kolaghan is clearly better than Kolaghan. Considering what BR decks usually want and how stiff the competition in this guild is, there is no way that I would run Kolaghan over Kolaghan! Kolaghan might make it in as the sixth guild card or so. Kolaghan on the other hand ranks several places below that.
It was so funny to me when they described this as a downgrade to the original Zurgo during the Pax East panel. I was thinking if this is a downgrade, they should really "downgrade" all legendary creatures. Haha.
My deck designing is quite concise at this point:
1. Come up with deck idea
2. Realize this idea is somehow fundamentally similar to another deck I have or that is commonly played in my group
3. Decide I don't want to disassemble one of my existing decks
4. Give up and do nothing
I don't see the point of this new shroud mechanic. It's strictly worse than Hexproof. Threshold is pretty bad too, Delirium is a much better mechanic and probably easier to activate.
Otherwise this card is a pretty neat guy. Dodges removal and grows into a Primal Huntbeast. 3/5
Dack was in my group's draft on Monday. The player that took it was in a 5 color walkers deck. Apparently adding in Gemstone Mine and Mana Confluence made that more possible. I saw Dack steal a Blade Splicer Golem Token, Basalt Monolith and Sword of Body and Mind. He may have taken others but I didn't notice. I didn't think the steal artifact ability was going to be too relevant in an unpowered list but overall I was impressed.
Dack is pretty sweet although I'm guessing most people here are on board with it now.
Funny story from today's cube (mono red splashing blue) - round 1 mono black opponent tried to accelerate into something big by casting Grim Monolith. Stole it with Dack, then looting took over since the opponent had to them play a fair game, which the opponent couldn't really do in the face of Dack. In match 3, opponent was 5c good stuff and I stole the opponent's Sword of War and Peace which made the lifegain/damage a wash. When I had mana, I put it on a random dude and it + Ash Zealot was gg. Double looting was pretty gross for letting me throw cards like Stromkirk Noble into gas. So good.

I recently cut Steam Augury as I felt it never did anything for us. I added Prophetic Bolt back in as a placeholder for Dak. My question is do you think a small Izzet section should contain 2 Planeswalkers or should Ral Zarek be the cut? I have several guilds that don't even run 1 Planeswalkers.
I don't think it makes a difference. I think that not only are the two 'walkers the two best Izzet cards, but they both contribute to things the guild wants to do. Even if the other guilds don't have 'walkers/2 'walkers, the overall card quality is still higher than that of Izzet right now, and Dack + Ral will improve the guild and give you reasons to move into the color combination. Which is more important than avoiding 2 'walkers in a small section, IMHO.
Dack's been a really high pick in every cube I've played him in, powered or not. In fact, I don't think I've ever stolen a piece of power with Dack, so the value that adds is negligible.

That's very odd, I've gotten him last pick or very near last pick more times than not. Then again the artifacts in my cube is either signets level mana rocks or equipment. I'm not sure if the thinking behind my playgroup is that since they know my cube is unpowered, they won't bother taking Dack highly. The times I actually see him played is only around 25% of the time. It's something I need to work out in my cube or ask my playgroup why even the U/R/x drafters skip out on him.
It's arguably worse for your opponent when they get their Signet stolen than a Mox, considering they paid 2 for it instead of 0. Might be better in an unpowered cube, if anything.

I looked at your cube, it's different than most I've seen, but artifacts are represented enough. I'd snap up dack fayden highly in that configuration.
Your playgroup is underestimating him, simple as that.
Find the best way to get people to respect a card is draft it properly myself and beat them with it.

Will do, thanks for the tip. I wasn't sure if my artifact count was too low that my playgroup would just avoid picking Dack in draft highly. Dack is probably the most underplayed PW in my cube and that's saying something considering my cube has more than the average number of PW and Dack's own power level. Next few times my playgroup drafts, I'll try to force Dack if I see him early enough.
Only jokes, I was sarcastically saying that. I just noticed you and Incendiary's cubes were powered which led me to believe I was missing something with Dack.
thats my cube

Dack Fayden is definitely a top-tier multicolored planeswalker that I feel belongs in all cubes in all sizes regardless if they're powered or not.
