Loyal Pegasus - W
Creature - Pegasus (C)
Flying
~ can't attack or block alone.
2/1
A bunch of cards may have been accidentally spoiled in an article on the Mothership. This seems like potentially quite the critter for dedicated aggro decks, although it's hard to get it attacking before T3 outside of Moxen or hasty friends.
Mogg Flunkies proved that this drawback was too significant, otherwise the generic 3/3 for 2 would see some play.
I actually think Mogg Flunkies is more than acceptable in the red cube decks of yesteryear. It comes down after your Savannah Lions, to start blocking or attacking right away, instead of the other way around with this Pegasus. And a 3/3 just has way more survivability and use than a 2/1.
Granted, it's a more generic condition and easier to achieve, but much like Serra Avenger, the downside delays it just enough to negate it's cost reduction. At least with the Avenger, it couldn't be randomly shut stopped dead with spot removal on your other permanents.
Yeah this is much worse then Mogg Flunkies. In red you at least get hasty creatures that will activate the goblin. But discussion is moot, however, because there are far better options for cube for these 2 creatures.
I like how Wotc saw the design space and filled it; this card will probably do work in other limited environments. Unfortunately, Loyal Pegasus probably doesn't have a place in normal cubes.
