So, I'm working on an unpowered Cube with a Modern theme. I want to include at least 1 "auto-win" effect for each color. (Think Pack Rat.) I already have black and green covered. I need cards for white, blue and red.
Note, I'm thinking in terms of a card that fuels itself and gets better with each turn. Planeswalkers are too obvious, so please don't bother bringing up. In fact, I prefer it not be a Mythic at all.
Any suggestions?

Sulfuric Vortex for Red? (Get the Duel Deck printing if you want Modern borders.) It is the one card that makes me jump into drafting red aggro, and it is the one card I don't want to see an opposing red aggro deck play.
The only other modern-legal examples of cards that can win games all on their own are either mythics and/or planeswalkers. Like Jace, Memory Adept and Kalonian Hydra. Entreat the Angels too, from time to time.
Maybe Rude Awakening? That card has been known to randomly steal games out of nowhere, especially in a slower modern-only format. Insurrection doesn't do it on its own, but in multiplayer, it'll usually kill off at least one player on its own (edit: whoops, not Modern). Form of the Dragon is hard to beat if it resolves, and doesn't require any "help" so to speak. Sorin's Vengeance can probably be an "oops, I win" kind of card too. Blightsteel Colossus? Door to Nothingness?
I'm trying to look outside the box with some suggestions here. None of these are Pack Rat, of course.
If you play multiplayer, then Luminarch Ascension is good for white. Otherwise, one that's fallen out of a little favor is Sacred Mesa, which only needs mana to go with it.
Sturmgeist is one that may work for blue if a bit fragile, but if you want something cheaper I've liked Mindshrieker, which can get out of hand pretty easily. EDIT: Meloku, the Clouded Mirror is probably the actual choice, if not AEtherling, though.
Red's a bit tougher. Flameblast Dragon is what comes to mind for me.
I feel like you're out of luck for red if you don't include Mythic. Closest rare is probably Form of the Dragon. Chandra Nalaar is also available not as a mythic.

That could work as the Blue one. Funny I hadn't thought of him along those lines.

Fixed it for you, but you're basically right.
Stoneforge Mystic is banned, though.
And artiacts with color identities aren't what I had in mind.
Also, consider: A card like Hellrider
doesn't win on its own. It leverages a board state.
Compare with something like the 'ling or the Rat. They basically win by themselves.
Sulfuric Vortex is not modern legal.[/QUOTE]

If power level isnt a big concern, guild mages of all sort tend to take over a game with the right mana and if not answered
