I'm all for elves, but I don't think we need even more at 435 and I'm hesitant to swap out one of the potential fixing elves for another Llanowar. It's really nice to pick up an Avacyn's Pilgrim or Elves of Deep Shadow if you can use the color it produces, and they're played like this very regularly.
I very rarely get into trouble with Arbor Elf, so I actually think it's better than the Llanowar brothers.
I guess this marks the point where we as a community need to confront the issue of how many mana elves is too many. I'm looking forward to that debate!
I feel very confident running Noble, Llanowar, Fyndhorn, Treespeaker, Birds, Arbor, Pilgrim and new one. Fells about just right for 500, even for 450 IMO.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
i dont know Rhaderis, its just colorless mana but as Torggo pointed out, he is an elf, which depending on the make up of your cube, could be very relevant. thats one of the reasons i like imperious perfect, she turns my mana dorks into threats later in the game. i know "green aggro" is a thing here in the cube forum w/ a # of proponents for that archetype but i've taken a different approach to green & gone w/ more "overrun-esque" effects & setback tactics to supplement green's more widely recognized mana-ramp identity
I feel like I want to include this guy, but there isn't really anything I'd like to take out for him. I might switch Fyndhorn out for him if I like the artwork but that still isn't that big of a deal to me.
Turning a 1/1 into a 2/2 isnt a threat in my book. Adding a tier2 card to make a mediocre card a little better isnt worth the slots in the cube for me.
do you know how many games are won on the backs of 1 & 2 power creatures? i consider them threats. ex. lingering souls judging by the # of 1 drop mana dorks you're running MF, i'd say they're slightly better then mediocre. we're only talking 1 slot here, & you're practically making my argument for me b/c you're alrdy running the majority of the cards she beefs up. the only 1 we run, that you're not, is elves of deep shadow. i dont think that i have the vocabulary to properly convey what i'm trying to express, but suffice it to say, that there is a difference between putting in every good green card & every card thats good for green
So for example if there were 60 mana elves printed you'd run all 60?
No, I'd run 59 and Priest of Titania obviously. On a more serious note, I think we are now around the threshold of what the number should be, so I'm excited to add this in, and if in the future they give us ANOTHER one, then I'll start throwing out Arbor elf and co.
Kicking asses in style
thanks to me for this wonderfull sig.
Why cut a very good green card for a card of the exact same power? Mana elves are really powerful, just run more of them.

Draft it here!
Hes the worst on paper, but its an elf and I might think about running him now if I add the Elvish Archdruid

I might test it, if it doesnt work no big deal.

I run 2 eldrazis and Worldspine Wurm. Blightsteel Colossus also. Plenty of ramp targets.
