The mediocre card is the lord, e.g. Imperious Perfect. The mana dorks are great. My argument is that adding Boreal Druid who is one of the weaker mana dorks just to justify to run Imperipus Perfect et al. isnt good for me. Sorry if my argument was unclear.
You play these mana dorks on ramp decks most of the time and my aim is to ramp out huge threats and not make dorky 2/2s, because if I want to do that I play aggro.
oh absolutely, boreal druid isnt good enuff, i wasnt endorsing running, i was just saying that b/c of her creature type & depending on the make up of his cube, that mite actually be relevent. i agree w/ you about the ramping into big threats, but y not be able to do both by making your ramp dorks a threat later in the game if they answer your bigger threat? imperious perfect is 1 of those cards that plays better then she looks on paper. no worries though, just diverging lines of thought/styles of play

To anyone currently wondering "How many llanowar elves is too many?"
This is the question I ask myself every day, about every card. I'm glad you guys can have fun with it now too
I mean sure, some cards are easier than others.
How many Sol rings is too many? One. My answer is One is too many.
It all depends on what you want green (in this case) to do, and how often you want it to do that.
On topic: Love the artwork. Personally, despite being able to add in another llanowar elves, I think I'll add this one. I'm excited
I never saw that one. Try googling it without too much luck either. Maybe one day I'll see it when Wizards print it in some kind of supplementary product.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.

Actually, there are no rares in Homelands or Alliances. Only U1 as the highest rarity, and those are the cards that made the reserve list.
This is correct for Homelands, incorrect for Alliances. Alliances had actual rares (packs contained 8 commons, 3 uncommons, and 1 rare. Some rares and uncommons were "more rare/uncommon" than others, though. This from the Wiki:
"Set was printed on sheets of 110 cards. The set's rarity breakdown is: 55 commons (40@C2, 10@C3, 5@U6), 43 uncommons (40@U2, 3@R6), 46 rares (46@R2). Each common card and the 5 uncommons cards @U6 have 2 pieces of art, making collectors view this as a 199 card set. Since the ratio of uncommons to rare is 3:1 in a booster pack, the 3 rares @R6 are considered as uncommon even if they could be found in the rare slot of an Alliances booster pack. Similar statement can be made about the 5 commons @U6."

Elvish Mystic completes a more perfect threesome, as they all have the same creature types.

is there a larger version of that anywhere?
Juju Alters - Altered MTG Cards
Thanks Usman. Until seeing that bigger version, I had thought the standing elf was carrying an axe. It never seemed appropriate for a woodland Druid.
It's a bit of a shame that much of the MTGO Cube art will never be printed, assuming Wizards adhere to the restricted list.

Hadn't they kind of worked out how uncommons worked by ice age? I don't think there are any uncommons from that block on the list.
Draft it on Cubetutor!
