I think for Shardless Agent to be great, you need to be running multiple brainstorm effects. That color combination without top of library manipulation is going to flop a counter spell probably too often for agent to be good. But that is just my feeling. I haven't run it.
Bounding Krasis is on my radar. 3/3 flash for 3 is going to kill a lot of stuff in combat which is a very solid effect (for green especially). Is it worth a guild slot though? Not sure. Wolfir Avenger didn't end up sticking around for us (although GG is harder to cast than GU technically). So I really don't know. That's where I'm at with it personally. It's probably worth a try if you are looking for a change up in your Simic section. It's certainly not rubbish.
Some context--I removed Wurmcoil Engine from my cube a while back for being too automatic a pick, and too stifling for aggro to fight through. I've been trying Scuttling Doom Engine recently, and it's been fine. Not fantastic, but fine.
Is Soul of New Phyrexia better, though?
(I also try to wait until rotation to buy many of my cards, so I'm only now looking seriously at the M15 cards. Any other suggestions for hidden value gems there?)
Nissa, Worldwaker has come down from $30+ to around $10, and the painlands are all $2-$2.50 now, but otherwise I don't see any really good cube cards from M15 that rotation's making cheaper that you're not already running. There are some Theros block cards that have turned out to be great for cube, though, that you're not running whose prices have come down quite a bit now that rotation's near:
Agree. Hellspark is just so good at pushing damage through, I've never been unhappy to see it. Zealot is probably the strongest of the 3 if it weren't for the mana cost, but RR pushes it to the bottom of the list.
Edric, Spymaster of Trest
Trygon Predator
Mystic Snake
Kiora, the Crashing Wave
I'm currently run the top three cards, but I'm wondering if Kiora is a good enough cards to break the top 3 of Simic? If there's other Simic car you believe is better than the card I list, feel free to suggest them too.
I'm generally not excited about any simic cards, they are about equal, but just a tiny bit better from left to right. It might be because sneak and eureka, super ramp, and bant control are the decks simic cards see play in, and none of these cards really fit there though.
With the new FTV: Angels coming out in August, do you think any of the white CMC>6 angels are worth including in cube. The new art on the Akromas is just gorgeous.
I'm also curious what you think of Akroma, Angel of Fury. I have a hard time finding a place for it in red even though I do have a morph subtheme in my cube. Is it playable as a 2nd 6 drop after Inferno Titan? I could also replace Bogardan Hellkite with it, but I have a feeling the Hellkite is better.
(1) Edric, Spymaster of Trest (10 - narrow but amazing in the right decks)
(2) Kiora, the Crashing Wave (9.5 - the more I play with Kiora the more I realize why she had to have 2 starting loyalty)
(3) Trygon Predator (7 - as long as I have access to the colours I'm maindecking this guy)
(4) Mystic Snake (5 - loved it for years and is still a solid choice that I'd be happy to play. I just value the other three above more now.)
Bogardan Hellkite >>>> red akroma. Don't even think about that trade. Red Akroma costs a bazillion to cast AND to unmorph (RRR for both to add insult to injury), it dies to any terror effect and it has the audacity not to have haste so you get nothing when it resolves. Hate hate hate that card.
White Akroma is awesome, though I don't think there is room in any cube smaller than 1000 cards unless you were running her for nostalgic purposes or were running a non power-max list (which I would totally understand and respect). From a purely power perspective though, there have to be 5 or 6 other white fatties you should consider ahead of her (Elesh, Serenity, Sun Titan, Eternal Dragon, maybe even Yoshi simply because it's so much easier to cast). And I doubt you want more than 3 or 4 even at 720.
I want a morph subtheme in my cube, but I recently made the decision that there isn't a ton of payoff for trying to build a "morph deck", so I'm cutting all the morphs that are relatively low power level on their own. Akroma, Angel of Fury is one of the ones getting the axe. I'd keep it out.
I've sort of been trying to rationalize running red Akroma because she's so cool, but I really think there's no reason to. Aside from the rare megamorpher cycle and maybe some of the blue counter/redirect dudes that sometimes cycle through (mostly Voidmage Prodigy), Exalted Angel is the only morpher still on my list. Even Ainok Survivalist doesn't really seem great to me.

Chainer's Edict and Diabolic Edict are the two best ones and should probably be run.
I like Bellower more. Being able to tutor out Eternal Witness and Reclamation Sage is great. Sometimes being able to get Knight of the Reliquary as a second fattie makes for a huge bomb.

I'm currently playing Angel of Serenity in my 720 list. How good is Serenity compared to: Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Akroma, Angel of Wrath or Iona, Shield of Emeria? The mana cost is just so steep on these.
I'm also curious what you think of Akroma, Angel of Fury. I have a hard time finding a place for it in red even though I do have a morph subtheme in my cube.
