Agreed with the above, Zo-Zu or Fire Imp. Shatter-on-legs is still too relevant in red to be removed. Even green, with stronger variants, still regularly runs Orangutan and/or Viridian Shaman at 450+.
I'd been trying to avoid cutting Zo-Zu, since I recently picked up a foil copy of it, but with this much overwhelming support, I'll lean towards better gameplay over a small hit to my wallet.
As red Shatter effects go, running one creature variant (Manic Vandal) and one cheaper, non-creature variant (Vandalblast) has been working very well for us.
I am not a fan of running Shatter effects with no legs... even Smash to Smithereens could just sit in your hand and do nothing.
I prefer Keldon Vandals.
Maybe this has came up before, but do you prefer Gifts Ungiven or Deep Analysis?
People seem to prefer Analysis, I'd like to know why. Instant speed + tutoring is just more abusable IMO.
Hexmage by a mile, it can actually win in combat and is an answer to various problem permanents, PW's especially.
Boa, unless you really want to push Gx aggro hard. The problem with Geist is that most aggro decks that have green are 3-color or Xg, and so getting GG on t2 is hard
Chainwalker because it's the most consistent, but I don't have a lot of experience with Eidolon. I have never like Geopede in aggro as it too often only gets to attack once as a 3/3 when it's relevant.
Hexmage, better in combat, better in utility, better in hand. BB isn't that bad of a cost, because its still good turns 3,4,5,6,7,8,etc.
Geist, Haste is so good in green. Green is the color that needs haste the most due to pws, its also just a great card. Boa isn't on the same power level imo.
agree with wtwlf on red cards.
Eidolon has a HUGE damage output, and the RR cost really isn't a huge issue in my experience. Geopede as a 3/3 FS is very good, with an occasional crack for 5, and while Chainwalker is easy to cast it's about as unexciting as a 2 drop can be while still being above curve power to cmc-wise.
Sublime would be my cut there - while I don't know about your cube, I find most white decks in mine tend to want to attack with more than one creature if possible. I also think the other two options are stronger picks overall.
I have a large selection of 3 drops in Black. I don't really want to cut any, but can you help me drop one for Silumgar Assassin? I am thinking Master of the Feast currently.
Flesh Carver
Grim Haruspex
Hypnotic Specter
Mardu Strike Leader
Ophiomancer
Vampire Nighthawk
Xathrid Necromancer
Master of the Feast
Master of the Feast is way too much of a beating to cut.
Grim Haruspex is my least favorite on that list, but you probably want to keep a second morph since you're bringing in Silumgar Assassin. If so, I'd cut Xathrid Necromancer.

Imho Grim Haruspex and Xathrid Necromancer are the worst on that list. Necromancer supports the Stax theme, but is rather slow and has a rather unimpressive body that dies to almost anything in combat. And I second the point of Spike Rogue regarding the Morph on Grim Haruspex.
Xathrid Necromancer is easily the worst card on that list. The human count is growing with each new set, but we're not close enough on the amount of good ones to make cards like this one good.

I like Necromancer enough to still run it whereas I cut Nighthawk. Getting a 2/2 and a 2/2 is the WCS and it has a ton of synergy meaning you get other 2/2 tokens quite commonly. It's great in decks with sacrifice themes or a few outlets and works wonders with the other black three drops. I also like it more than Hypnotic Specter. Nighthawk and Specter are much better in a vacuum but the synergistic package of Haruspex and Necromancer and the other similar effects has lead to some very strong attrition-based decks being played.
Nighthawk has continued to perform well for us. There's enough self-damaging effects in black where the lifelink is still quite valuable, and it's nice to have a black 3-drop that really shines in control. It's still a very solid control creature.
Absolutely, Nighthawk is extremely solid and is a rare and relatively efficient source of life gain in black, but sadly a lot of good 3 cost cards are going to miss out in any given configuration these days. I think we can all agree that is now amongst the most competitive slots in the average cube. Depends what you are aiming for from that section as to your best choices.
Thanks for the input, everyone!

Strangleroot Geist or River Boa?
Eidolon of the Great Revel, Plated Geopede or Gore-House Chainwalker?
Thanks!

Boa > Geist; CC cost.
Geopede > Chainwalker > Eidolon; 1R > RR, both 3 toughness and first strike are big game.
