Kind of torn between these two. Being able to get rid of things like hangarback walker, all the recursive black 1 and 2 drops, being able to get through a blood artist standstill, etc. are all great points for anger. but being able to cycle away sweltering suns to draw into more gas when the board state is in your favour seems really good.
I think they are probably pretty close and either will do a fine job... thoughts?
You've got some really strong enchantment/artifact targets, so predator might be better in your cube than mine. I'm not sure it's the right cut for you. Do you feel you need the extra disenchant effect? Snake is sweet, but it's a lot of mana to keep up. it's really only degenerate if you can get a flicker/Shard effect engine going, which moves that strategy largely midrange. Edric is powerful obviously, but is Simic Tempo a thing for your group?
That's how I'd try and figure out the cut. Based on how you answer those questions. All three cards are good and depending on what your meta is doing, the order won't be the same in each cube.

Huh, great analysis. I personally feel an urge to keep the Predator because my artifact/enchantment hate is decently creature-heavy or incidental overall. Honestly, Mystic Snake costing 4 mana slows me down a lot, but I can always taste those sweet combos, so I'm still interested.
Agh idk I think I'll just test them all. Thanks everyone!
Agreed with wtwlf. I wanted to play Teeg badly, so I built an EDH deck around him and got to play all my favorite hatebears that don't fit into the cube.
Probe is way better than Pod unless you're going to break singleton, which I know some cubers do to enable the Pod archetype. You've got me thinking now about finding room in my colorless section for Probe to support the Mentor/Pyromancer decks. Cool.

I'm pretty surprised to hear that wtwlf! You've spoken pretty highly about Tracker in comparison to Nissa's inconsistent performance with matchups, if my memory serves.
I personally am very excited for Tireless Tracker, but it was just put in and hasn't seen any play yet. I love that it makes artifacts, but it would like never be in an artifact.dec...

Nope, your memory doesn't serve. I added Nissa during the Origins update and never once considered removing her. Tracker's been in and out of my cube like 4-5 times since it was released. You must be confusing me with someone else.
I also like Nissa slightly more. However I think they are both in top 5 of green 3's.
Looking at your green 3-drops, I would cut Courser of Kruphix or Manglehorn (depending on the amount and need of artifact removal) or maybe Yavimaya Elder before Nissa and Tracker.

I used to write for MTGS, including Cranial Insertion and cube articles. Good on you if you can find those after the upgrade.

Also, I would personally mention to add Earthquake and Rolling Earthquake before any of those 3 damage wipes. Then Fiery Confluence. Then Slagstorm I think for the planeswalker/player reach.

Here's a quirky one. I have room for a Phyrexian mana card in colorless. What would you like to see in a cube, Birthing Pod or Gitaxian Probe?
