Ire Shaman way over Ash Zealot. These days, a permanent has to be flat awesome to justify CC mana costs. I've got a few: Bloodghast and Rofellos. That's it. Anything else isn't worth the hassle of having to run 13 sources or whatever to reliably stick it on T2.

Unless you include CC cards as a design choice. I actually like to encourage decks that are heavily in one color and just splash for a second instead of having most decks being solidly in 2+ colors.
Thanks for the replies guys. Looks like most of you guys rate DA higher than the other 2 blue cards, but what about Impulse? I'm sure Impulse > Thirst, but is is it greater than DA? Also, I was leaning toward the Shaman because of it's easier casting cost.
The two Soltari are the only ones that I kinda like from that list, but I'm not a fan of any and don't run any myself. Maybe Spirit if you need a hatebear for disruption in some kind of combo cube? IDK.
Abbot for me. Shaman was a better midrange value card, but my aggro decks often had issues paying 3+1R for a 3-power creature. Neither are ideal T2 plays, so I didn't count either of them as 2-drops during deckbuilding anyways.
I think Scroll Rack is a fine cut. It's a great card, but it's slow and clunky for small-average sized cubes. You could also lose either Dynamo or Archive if you think you have enough other ramp/Wildfire support.
Cut Thirst.
Ire Shaman's been great for me, it's nice to have an aggro 2-drop that has the potential to do more when drawn later.

I'm looking to add 2 more aggressively oriented white 2-drops to my list. Can you rank the following for me?:
Precinct Captain
Consul's Lieutenant
Soltari Monk
Soltari Priest
Spirit of the Labyrinth
Cloistered Youth
I'm not a fan of CC cards in general and I'm aware of the risks with them, but if the card quality difference justifies it, then I will run them!
Thanks,

Spear of Heliod vs Soltari Champion
450 Unpowered Cube Cobra
Probably Spear, since the saturation at the 3cc creature slot has gotten really deep as of late.

Ran them all at some point, currently only the top 3
Spear, there are plenty better white 3 drops. Plus, having anthems that do not die to spot/mass removals is much better for token decks usually.

I'm thinking about cutting a rock so I can try out Lodestone Golem for more artifact and stax support.
