I've considered using city of ass before, but the un-sets' goofball themes turn me off. Even in the legitimate game, I really hate the slapstick and moronic quotes they assign to goblins.
You shut your filthy, whore, slapstick hating mouth. The Marx brothers were the heros this world deserved.
On a slightly more serious topic, I only run booster tutor at the present moment. My problem is that so few Un cards manage to be both interesting and strong enough to be considered without being exceptionally annoying. I've considered Richard Garfield, Ph.D. as the blue commander for the cube, but it kinda makes the whole drafting part mostly pointless, which defeats the whole idea of cube.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
Sure. But what's your sick fantasy scenarios? Like, slapping it on protean hulk, then attacking.
That requires an additional sac outlet as the Tokens self-exile, but yeah that's pretty hot.
Angel of Serenity seems pretty hot, you can completely wipe away opposing board presence. Any of the Primordials besides Molten can get out of control quickly.
I almost don't even care to try. More things are good with it than bad. Looking down my list of creatures in the Cube it goes "yup cool. Yup. cool. Yup. yup. sure. sure. sure. yup." Even stupid stuff like Barbed Shocker.
Man, this set's going to hit my wallet, innit...
Thought long and hard about Kalemne(too weak, even if it's only in competition with Brion Stoutarm), Meren(bonkers, but likely too slow in my cube), Thief of Blood(great card, but trying to get into a strong section), Magus of the Wheel(Prolly don't need another copy of this effect), Bloodspore Thrinax(same problem as Thief of Blood) and Shielded by Faith(these enchant creature auras are currently falling out of favour in my cube for global enchantments).
Oreskos Explorer: Cheap ETB creature with card advantage for most non-green decks Grasp of Fate: I already play Oblivion Ring and Banishing Light, so this is a welcome addition. It's not that long ago that I still had Faith's Fetters in my cube, it feels quite old after the printing of Banishing Light and Grasp of Fate... Arachnogenesis: My cube is all about tokens and this card scales in a good way with longer games. Testing will show how often it actually works out. Ezuri's Predation: I love this green wrath! Especially because of all the possible token shenanigans! Illusory Ambusher: I have a weak spot for combat tricks, but this one is quite special, because it fills the role as removal, draw and can be recurred, because it's a creature. Although it's on the weaker side of blue's greater picture, testing will show how much. Corpse Augur: Another card that scales good with longer games and with a solid body and cost. Fiery Confluence: I like that it's very efficient and not restricted for non-flying creatures, I also think the artifact option is very relevant. Meren of Clan Nel Toth: Most of the time you get a Gravedigger, but if it stays for a longer time, then it's really potent. Blade of Selves: I think the commander banned list contains many cards that are not that degenerated. Urgh!
Cards which we think have potential in our Powered MP Cube:
First Tier: No testing required. Grasp of Fate - Will replace quarantine field which we just put in as well at the expense of banishing light Fiery Confluence Each mode is highly relevant especially in our Powered cube. Were probably dropping a Red "X" spell for this. Blade of Selves - Card will only get better (and it's busted now) as WotC prints off more ETB creatures. This card is a beast.
Second Tier Light testing required. Mystic Confluence - We don't run Cryptic Command b/c of the UUU cost. This is easier to cast, albeit later. We may add both. Mizzix's Mastery - 8 mana isn't an issue in our cube. I feel like our Spells Matter deck could use this, although it does require some set up. Skullwinder - I like this card, my group is lukewarm on too many of these effects. Not sure what to cut for it either? Arachnogenesis - One shot deals in MP need to be strong, this has real potential to be a blow out. We shall test and see.
Third Tier: Massive Testing required Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest - Seems powerful if you run a sacrifice theme and we do, but our Golgari section is tight and this is going to need to really impress to make it in Corpse Augur - I like scaling cards which are splashable and cards that give you something when they die. Not sure what will be cut for testing? Mizzix of the Izmagnus - Our Izzet guild is tight at 4CC and this card is quite niche. That said, Izzet has room at higher CC's to drop a card, so were looking at it. Bloodspore Thrinax - We support tokens, we support counters, our 4CC in G is a bit soft. This will be tested. Karlov of the Ghost Council - Silly with Vizkopa guildmage but we did remove most of our lifegain and extort package so unsure just how good this is.
Hey EDH cubers. Not trying to derail the flow of this thread, but I am working on creating an "EDH Generals Expansion" for my unpowered cube. The thread is over in the main Cube Forum if you care to check it out. I would value feedback.
Sword of the Animist felt like such a great additional equipment after Jitte, batterskull and the Sword cycle. While it still fills the exact same roll it had before, is it a necessary role in an MP environment? I think it is clearly outclassed by Blade of Selves but perhaps that isn't fair. There is only so much room. I cut bonehoard for blade of Selves but with Power and a ton of artifact ramp, was bonehoard was the wrong cut, especially since I support Dimir Mill heavily?
This time of year always creates a big lull in MTG and it seems like my mind starts drifting a little. So, today's thought (while looking at my super awesome 50 half art BFZ basics of each color) was that I might be interested in adding Wastes to the Cube because surely there must already be a reason to add a 6th kind of basic land to the Cube. And yes, I cannot think of a single card that would care about them.
Anybody else planning on messing around with these?
It's going to heavily depend on what <> mana actually means. If <> is colorless mana and not dedicated Eldrazi mana, then it does make a certain set of cards worth visiting again. Off the top of my head, I can think of Boreal Druid, Rampant Growth, Farhaven Elf, Civic Wayfinder and friends, the original painlands, and Grand Coliseum for Cubes not running it already.
For there to be that kind of payoff though, that also means there have to be cards worth playing that have <> in their costs in OGW. I think new Kozilek is decent but probably not enough payoff to dedicate space to the mechanic. Mirrorpool is pretty interesting too. It feels like you'd only need a couple more cards to achieve critical mass.
Mirrorpool looks like it might be fun, but I'm not sure if there's enough colorless (we push 3 color) to make it reliable. Although I think we'll all experience something similar to what R&D went through where we want to pack this mechanic in but run into all sorts of weird problems making it playable without feeling totally forced. Or not
My colorless spots are already pretty tight even with there being 70+ cards in there, so that probably won't help too much.
Assuming <> mana is "exclusive colorless" and can be paid with any colored lands, Painlands and/or Filters can be used to add additional colorless sources that people will want to play. Switching some Signets over to Talismans can help as well.

Yowza, that Orzhov card from Oath of the Gatewatch is strong if it's real...
It's a sweet card. I had a casual lifegain theme going on in Orzhov already with the Extort cards, the Soul Sisters, Ajani 1, and Archangel of Thune. I was already wanting to add in Karlov from the Commander deck, and given that this card plays so well with him, I might try to shoehorn in this odd couple when OGW comes out. Can't cut Sorin or Vindicate either, so I'm probably just going to mess around with my multicolored section a bit.
I'm going to find room for Kalitas definitely and I'll see if I can find a spot for the new Nissa. The hellbent draw land also looks like it should be pretty good for us, R/W manland looks like a pass and I'm honestly not sure how to evaluate the new Chandra.

What are folks fantasizing equiping and swanging with this thing?
Utvara Hellkite (n/m - attack trigger doesn't work like that)
Avenger of Zendikar
Stalking Vengeance
The Kamigawa Dragons
Disciple of Bolas

Overseer of the Damned seems funny. Kill two dudes (in a 4-player game), get 6 zombies?
Rune-Scarred Demon is obviously nuts.
Tyrant of Discord could certainly wreak some havoc.
Any overrun-making dude like Thunderfoot Baloth or Craterhoof Behemoth is pretty much a guaranteed total table kill.
Extractor Demon makes for a lot of mill triggers.

For me and my cube, I think it's probably Giant Adephage. How many freaking ginormous insect clones would you like, sir?

Every single ETB creature in the cube would be worth it. It's possibly the best card in C15 for EDH.
Also - Hydra Omnivore

Seriously though I need to wait until I fully understand the mechanic and the options available. I don't think my box can hold another 50 basics...
My brother just had a gorgeous custom hardwood box made for my cube... and it has zero space for a 6th basic land type... d'oh.
A++, would upvote again.
