It's mostly the color combination it's in that makes it bad.
I'd tweak it to be a 2/2 flyer for 1UB with the same ability.
If it were 1RB it would be broken, but I dont think this is true for 1UB.
I guess it depends on your cube, but U/B tempo is definitely something that is supported and drafted in my cube. Not to mention that it's easily splashable in B/x aggro, blue is already a great support color for aggro/tempo decks.
In an agro deck the 2/2 flyer for 3 would be slowing down your tempo AND be giving your opponent a chance for answers.
I'm not sure what you mean - you said you'd tweak it to be a 2/2 for 3, but now you're saying a 2/2 for 3 is bad?
Maybe a 2/2 for 3 is more powerful than a 4/4 for 4, but it definitely feels less mythic which is something they have to keep in mind while designing.

Sorry, realize my post wasn't super clear.
A 4/4 for 4 is better value than a 2/2 for 3, but what makes the card interesting is the ability.. Getting the ability for cheaper makes the value much higher.
I agree that it would feel much less mythic.
I think I prefer a 3/1 to a 2/2. Don't think it would be overpowered because of the abilities inherent weakness in agro mirrors and it's fragility against control decks that get a turn to answer it.
For the reasons stated I think the Seer is pretty solid. Obviously testing would be required to establish its baseline power against the gauntlet of archetypes. Blue/Black tempo, while not actively pushed in my cube is certainly a deck that emerges with notable regularity, and often makes quite a showing. This card seems like a fantastic curve topper for that deck. I'm not sure it will make my list because I agree that Tog, Finkel, Tezz and the Strix are likely superior, but I'll certainly keep a watchful eye on him.
EDIT: With regard to the sideboard discussion, I've convinced myself it's actually less of a liability to allow people to keep their remaining cards as a sideboard, that way at the end of the session your drafters count off 45 cards back to you and there is no question about how many cards are in circulation. I simply tell everyone that they are responsible for their 45, and if by chance something goes missing, it is their responsibility to replace it.
Just saw these in the rumor mill. Not sure if they're confirmed or not though.
Master Biomancer2GU Creature - Elf Wizard (Mythic)
Each other creature you control enters the battlefield with a number of additional +1/+1 counters on it equal to Master Biomancer's power and as a mutant in addition to its other types. 2/4
Sylvan Primordial5GG Creature - Avatar (Rare)
Reach
When Sylvan Primordial enters the battlefield, for each opponent, destroy target noncreature permanent that player controls. For each permanent destroyed this way, search your library for a Forest card and put that card onto the battlefield tapped. Then shuffle your library. 6/8
RealmwrightU Creature- Vedalken Wizard (Rare)
As realmwright enters the battlefield, choose a basic land type.
Lands you control are the chosen type in addition to their other types. 1/1
Sylvan Primordial is extremely good even in single player. I'm impressed, but I'll stick with Hornet Queen. If you run multiplayer even occasionally, I'd probably give Prime Time (that's this card now) the nod.
Biomancer is fun and just really weird. I have no idea if it's playable. On paper, it looks a bit too fussy for my Simic decks. It could certainly be really sick in certain builds though.
Realmwright is a card I can't believe hasn't been printed yet. It's not really a cubey sort of guy, so not much to see.
Even if the first ability whiffs half the time, I think it will still be worth it.
Rade will miss a more than half the time, and that's in a deck that's completely stacked with creatures. At its very best, it's still going to miss more than half the time.
@ LordOfTexas: If you want to continue the SB discussion, we should take it to my thread. I don't want to derail this thread with yet another dead horse discussion on sideboards and the cube.

Even with a 40% chance, I'll probably still test it. Assuming your creatures are bigger than your opponent's, the -2 is where it's at anyway.
Perhaps I'm talking crazy here, but it has a lot of simalarities to Liliana 3. +1 occasional card advantage, -2 removal.
Anyway, I'm not sold on if I'm going to add the card or not, but what I can tell you is that a large portion of the G/R decks that get built here provide a good place for Domri.

My apologies, children, for I am afraid I cannot save you all.
Oh. I assumed you had already been testing it. It was pretty bad for us, but we also play a lot of RG aggro and RG ramp, and it's bad in both of those decks. It's at its best in a RG mid-range deck with like 17 creatures in it that are all solid dudes. But even in there it is forgettable, and much worse than the other RG mid-range options like Sarkhan and Huntmaster which both blow this guy out of the water.
I am on and off about Domri Rade. I had decided not to get him. Then I read an article on CF about how great he is and decided to give him a try. Now I am not sure again. I will test him if I open him, but I won't actively try to acquire any of the planeswalkers in this set. Which is actually a nice change of pace.
If Sylvan Primordial were a little smaller, but cost 4GG, I would cube it at 600 cards. Not as a seven drop though.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
I could see Master Biomancer being really solid. He randomly turns off undying which is a bummer, but being able to drop 3/3 mana dorks late game is rad. Not to mention putting everything else over the top as well.
Anyone else a little bummed after seeing the amount of cards we got for Cubes from RTR? Maybe this has already been brought up, but I don't want to look through 59 pages to find out.
I still have hope, but there are still some weak 2-c combinations that can use some depth help for Cube and I haven't seen the sheer amount of cards as we did in RTR. I'm sure there are reasons for this (set size, e.g.), but I'm really hoping that we get more goodies before this block is all said and done.

Curve this guy into a 7/5 Thragtusk that dropss a 5/5 when it dies. Or pretty much any green 5 drop(silverheart, hermit).
My question: is he better than a 4 drop that just kicks ass itself?

I agree with this. Part of the problem with UG ramp is that top-decked mana dorks suck in the late-game. This guy takes care of that, as well as coming down on turn 3 (or possibly turn 2, in powered cubes) thanks early mana ramp.
Grrr. A mythic that will be expensive that I will probably need for my Cube.

If that were the case I would be cubing it at 330, yesterday.

Seriously. Does it kill them to make any new 6 drops in Green.
Its fantastic and will see plenty of casual play..but its natural home probably isn't Cube.
