When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
While the ability will often be an advantage, I foresee situations where you'll hate him. If your opponent has 2 big creatures out, you really don't want to cast him. I would have considered him if the ability was a may and if he had Trample.
If my opponent has two big creatures out and this can't be cast favorably than a sweeper is the only thing that will save you.
This thing costs too much mana. If it were a 6/6 for 6 mana and had trample or haste, I'd consider it. But I expect more from 7cc gold cards than this.

I would probably love this in mono green, even though it shouldn't be hard for green ramp decks to find a single red mana. Hmm...
That was my thought until I considered that most everything in red only needs one red, so I could draft any nubmer of burn cards to fill the hole. Although I could natural order this guy out. WEith that or reanimate him and it gets ugly, dropping my chumps afterward to clear the way for this guy.
But in the end there are much better targets in mono-green and mono-red so no reason to waste a colg spot on this guy. Too bad.

Didn't fight before it got keyworded cause both creatures to tap?
With all the cubable and constructed playable fight cards i guess i never read it well.
I mean sure, the grull aren't the most restrained or forward thinking, but surely they know better than to walk up to something that will clearly mop the floor with them and poke it, only to be devoured seconds later.
I'm surprised we are even talking about this card. It looks like utter trash to me. Gruul is one of the last guilds to want a 7-drop, especially one that doesn't just end the game.
As a 5/5 for 5 it might've been cubable, especially if it had trample, haste, or regeneration.
Dandy_Lions;9633490']Why isn't this trigger a may ability?

No, actually that kind of thing is perfectly in line with the flavor of the guild.

I hate this card too, don't get me wrong, but Gruul doesnt hate 7 drops. Green is the superramp color, and at least in my cube the most common secondary colors for superramp are blue, and red. 4 gruul slots for aggro and 1 for superramp sounds fair wouldn't you say :P. This would need a lot of improvents to be considered cubeworthy for me. I'd want a 7/7 for 7 with haste and trample. I'd take that, even if it lost the all creatures you control and become ~ fights when etb.
Very flavorful and very gruul, but not very strong.

A fatty would be fine (preferably a 6-drop, an area green needs help in), but honestly I'd rather have another 1- or 2-drop in my Gruul section. We play the snot out of RG aggro in my cube. If this did have some combo of haste, trample, regenerate, or hexproof and was a 7/7, I'd give it some consideration. Even so, I think I'd run Flinthoof Boar or the new guildmage over it. I'm just not looking for a fatty in this guild.

No, he doesn't.
Ya, I'm kind of confused by that comment.
I think he needs to cost 1 less and have trample or haste to be considered.
On spoiled card wishlisting and 'should-have-had'-isms:

A powerful effect that doesn't come close to justifying it's cost

So no dice here. Many better choices in aggro or midrange for R/G. Maybe in Dragonmaze we will get out undercost fatty.
