A few years ago I would've (and did) argue against its inclusion. But it's a better card now than it was before (for the cube) and I'd recommend giving it a shot.
What's holding me back is that I can't remember a non aggro green deck that doesn't want mana dorks so you draft around that. It does help that it's an easy splash.
My group drafts a lot of UG and Bant Walker Control. Also, RG Wildfire/Earthquake wouldn't play mana dorks and could work well with Oath of Druids to get a big creature like an Eldrazi Lord or Dragonlord Atarka.
ever since I added Oath a couple months back its become my new favourite UG deck. My last iteration, I ran it with 4 fatties (including one out of my colours), along with a counterspell/draw and ramp suite. The goal of the deck was to draw into oath and go off that, or else ramp into my fatties if Oath was disrupted. Pretty strong deck, and really fun to draft when you realize you're sitting on all the pieces.
The last thing you want from your Oath is to hit a dork with. At minimum you want to hit something that you get rid of on command, like Yavimaya Elder for example. Then you gonna be able to ensure another trigger. Having multiple dorks in a Oath's shell is a pretty high risk and bring inconstancy.
How many creatures, on average, do good Oath decks have in cube? What types of creatures are they? Are you just Oathing up Griselbrand and Inkwell? How often do you whiff for 20 cards and end up decking yourself? Anyone got a sample list that performed well or just one from CubeTutor that looks like it would perform well?
Just add 1 or 2 rocks in there so it ensures Tinker to work and you got yourseld a pretty nice list that can run Oath smoothly! It dates from many weeks ago, when I was still playtesting Narset lol.

I always appreciate when any of us talks about how they have rethought a card, or changed their mind in some other fashion. Too often it seems we talk past one another or echo chamber awesomeness. Bravo to you and all others who keep an open mind!
I really like Oath in cube and also think that the card is extremely powerful. The decks generally want to have at least 3 targets but more often 4-5, and it's almost never worth running creatures that cost less than 6. The card can actually fit into a bunch of shells rather easily - control decks with cards like Titans as finishers, dedicated oath decks with a bunch of ways to find the card as well as protection (this is rare but they are really cool decks), reanimator decks and artifact decks.
I think the card's a 360 staple. It's not played every time, but it's played often and is always super unfair when it is played.
Has Selvala's Stampede changed anyone's minds on Oath? It adds a little redundancy in green.
I'm looking for one to include. I think it'd be sweet in UG control, RG ramp, BG control, any deck with planeswalkers acting as midgame threats, etc. It seems like a sweet effect, and because most of my playgroup is folks who've been playing less than five years, would be a cool new effect to let them figure out, like Upheaval or Wildfire or Opposition.

For those that like Oath of Druids, I want to share that I had a few drafts with Defense of the Heart and I've found it performed decently well in the Fatty Cheat shells.
It's more or less a sideboard card, but I feel with the lower curve + more strong discard options available, this is worth a slot.
Its no Sneak Attack, but I've found these fatty cheat decks frequently struggled with consistency.
