Kjeldoran Outpost is insane and I think I like better than Karakas. Great control card. Also helps the Purphorous decks. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that Karakas is just a bit too narrow to deserve a inclusion at 360, though being really good when connecting. KO, while bringing some constancy, is great at any size if you want that effect in your cube.
Here's a list of legends that I've added to my cube since the thread was last updated:
Anafenza, kin-tree spirit (probably only me)
I'm running it and I've been very happy with it, FWIW.
I put Karakas in my list as I put all 5 of the new PWs in, in addition to Mr. and Mrs. Nalaar and I've liked it since then, although oddly, I haven't seen it interact with many of the new legends. It's been mainly with things like Venser, Shaper Savant, Vendilion Clique, Brimaz, etc (although admittedly I've been on a huge UW tempo kick.) I likely should've included it before but I've been quite happy with it since as it works well with and against those legends quite well at a low opportunity cost and those interactions come up a lot more than I'd thought. Recently, I had a Sneak Attack + Dragonlord Atarka + Karakas lock going, but even getting it + any legend to make chump attacking/blocking better is great.
I loved switching out kor haven for this. This effect only costing 1 is much better than the 3 you had to hold up for the outpost, while both effects can be pretty powerful.
Wtwlf, how is it going with the testing? I'm also on the verge of getting a copy of Karakas for my cube.
I already cut it. Spent too much time as a Plains, and didn't impact as many cards (or nearly as consistent) as Kor Haven. I added the Haven back in.
Maybe when there's more Legends it'll go back in. But even now, not enough legends in the cube to do something of value most of the time.
Funny, I also cut it, but because of how opressive and unfun it felt against certain decks.
We were team drafting and a friend of mine who was playing a GW collected company style deck showed me a hand of brimaz, edric and anafenza and we laughed. Shut him completly out of the game.
Then I watched it own a show and telled eldrazi and prevent a through the breached eldrazi in the same event.
If karakas somehow gained value "most of the time" it would be broken.
Oh, it was oppressive in certain situations. It was also a bad Plains in a lot of situations. I think the card is fine, and it'll likely get better as the cube ages, but for right now, we're going back to a more consistent option.
I play it in my 360 powered cube, and most of my play group really likes the card. Not the highest pick or anything, but once you know you are in white, it's get's picked up because you know that it will make your deck and only get boarded out against certain decks running wasteland's etc.
Seems like every set there is at least 1 legendary creatures that get's printed that replaces a non legendary which in turn makes it a little better with every set.
They keep printing great legends, and Karakas keeps getting better. As much as I want to leave the card out, the targets have just grown too numerous to ignore it anymore.

I did a tally and comparatively, it's picked up some more targets, which I didn't really notice until I talled them (these are what I'm currently running) -

My opinion is pretty much the same as July 2015:
I did a tally and comparatively, it's picked up some more targets, which I didn't really notice until I talled them (these are what I'm currently running) -
Tally up until MTG Origins: Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, Pia and Kiran Nalaar, Zurgo Bellstriker, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Isamaru, Hound of Konda, Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit, Griselbrand, Liliana, Heretical Healer, Braids, Cabal Minion, Sheoldred, Whispering One, Polukranos, World Eater, Thrun, the Last Troll, Nissa, Vastwood Seer, Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary, Vendilion Clique, Venser, Shaper Savant, Jace, Vryn's Prodigy, Kira, Great Glass-Spinner, Dragonlord Atarka, Geist of Saint Traft, Edric, Spymaster of Trest (23 in total)
After: Heart of Kiran, Skysovereign, Consul Flagship, Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, Emrakul, the Promised End, Rishkar, Peema Renegade, Kari Zev, Skyship Raider, Pia Nalaar, Grenzo, Havoc Raiser, Thalia, Heretic Cathar, Archangel Avacyn, Gonti, Lord of Luxury, Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, Drana, Liberator of Malakir, Baral, Chief of Compliance (14)
I haven't really noticed an uptick in terms of it being a better card now than before, per se, but it's overall a great land for cube.
edit - oh hey, here's a 3-0 LGS cube deck with 5 legends to bounce from my last draft:

funny this has become a reality 5 years later.

I think he meant if Karakas could straight bounce them. Even with the rule change, it can only target 'walkers that have turned into creatures.
