Bump. I want to talk about this card in 2017. I've always been interested in the effect, but it seems so out of place in GW. I've got one on the way to test it out, and I'm wondering about y'all's experience with it in recent cubes. Back in the day when everyone ran a few white X-spells that generated tokens, that seems obviously good. But I'm only running Secure the Wastes. I'm thinking it'd be fun to draft with Regal Behemoth for the draw and redundancy. Also Tooth and Nail, which is coming in at the same time for my list. Two big Eldrazi. Sunderino and Battleball. Norn.
What else am I missing? My cube is growing so I have some room for suggestions. I've played Tempt with Vengeance before, and now I'm picturing a Naya token build with Wake and Purphoros.
Can't wait to try this out and see what big Mana fun I've been missing.

I can't say I'm pleased to see you and must warn you I may have to do something about it.

Card's great. Critical for the super-ramp support, worth splashing for, and enables a big mana token/ramp shell that's a lot of fun to play with Elesh Norn, Hornet Queen and the like. Definitely a fun, powerful and unique card that's certainly worth making room for.
The card is still nuts. Most of the time, you play it with Upheaval, Eldrazis (even Emrakul, the Aeons Torn) or token generators. But you have to realise that it opens some crazy sequences of play in which you can cast multiple spells per turn cycle and in which you're much likely highly dominate the field. Going from 5 mana to 12 mana in one single turn is just completely busted, even in today's cube metagame.
I didn't really appreciate this card until I started experimenting with a more combo oriented list. It never really caught on in my midrange list since it comes down sort of late for a lot of creature based strategies. I feel like you really want to be abusing the mana potential after laying it down versus using it as an overpriced glorious anthem.
Mana Reflection type cards are pretty niche, and Mirari's Wake is probably the best pure variant you're going to get. If you want a that type of effect, it's hard to beat Wake. If you don't think you need a Mana Reflection type card, there's plenty of other Selesnya options to choose from.
Currently trialling it since we got so many good token effects and some X spells and big targets since its last go in my cube. I'm not sold so far though.
We've been having a lot of fun with Wake since re-including it. It's a great card if you allow for some fringier cards that are great when they find their niche.
I'm thinking if Dictate of Karametra can earn a spot as a wake redundacny but also to help storm/ reanimator/ hyper ramp.
