During your upkeep, you may pay 1(U/R)(U/R). If you do, you may gain control of creature with power less than Yasova Dragonclaw's power until end of turn, untap that creature, and it gains haste until end of turn.
Repeatable threatens on power 3 or less creatures on a 3 drop with a pretty aggressive body looks good. Better with equipment. If you were to include it, how would you classify it? Simic? Gruul? Temur?
That creature is pretty serious business. I love the hybrid activation cost; it makes it significantly easier to play. 4 power, trample, and a repeatable threaten effect for 2G? I'm pretty sure I'll find room to cube this somehow.
Dont think Id ever want to play a 4/2 trample for 3 in a green deck that can't support red mana.
Don't think I want an agressive threatening creature in a GU only deck, so would classify this card as gruul.
Card doesn't stack up to the gruul competition imo.
Very powerful if beating down with the tempo advantage. Can threaten to do a lot of damage, seems strong in a R/G deck but it's drawbacks are clear. Vulnerable to removal, poor on defense, gets outclassed by big creatures and only really shines in subset of situations/matchups/decks. For all of those drawbacks, he doesn't take over the game by himself.. Like a Master of the wild hunt/goblin rabblemaster/brimaz/hero of bladehold type card.
Think the card is good, but not adding it to my cube. Wouldn't shame someone for testing it out tho
I'm fairly comfortable slotting it into mono-green, as I do with Nacatl.
A 4/2 trampler for 3 is still fine in an aggressive deck, and the hybrid activation in the color with the best fixing isn't asking too much.
Yasova is fantastic in a simic deck, which are tempo about a third of the time for us. Being able to snag a blocker is huge, especially with her high power.

I'd happily play a 4/2 trampler for 3 in any green aggro deck.
Red and Blue are commonly paired with green anyway (aggro for red, ramp for blue).
This. I cannot wait to play with this card (and hopefully threaten a Hero of Bladehold or Hellrider or something.)
It is worth noting that you dont have to attack with Yasova to threaten something. Also being able to invalidate blockers and threaten the turn he comes into play is real.
Cannot wait to see the rest of the cycle. The splashable off-color hybrid costs could be really interesting
The effect is certainly different, it helps that hybrid mana makes it easier to fit into your green deck. Also of note is that the ability can't be interrupted with a removal spell.
It'll have to be analyzed with testing -- on first glance, I think I would prefer Boon Satyr or Daybreak Ranger in the aggressive 3 slot, in most situations. But Yasova creates an interesting board dynamic. It's great for racing, and it will probably make your opponent have to re-sequence his plays so he doesn't get blown out, or maybe there's just no good way to play around it? I want to see it in action before passing judgment.
Wouldn't most people view this as a Red or Blue card that they splash green for?
I disagree. Any aggro deck that has green as a primary, secondary, or even tertiary color would want to play this card. The stats are good. It just becomes bonkers if your other color happens to be red or blue.
I've been waiting for a good aggressive Green 3-drop for quite a while. All the 187- and utility guys in that slot are great but stuff like Troll Ascetic, Boon Satyr and Wolfir Avenger left something to be desired.
For those wondering which section to include this in, it's exactly as multicolored as Wild Nacatl, so place it accordingly.

This card does fit into Simic tempo decks. Decks that want Edric, Spymaster of Trest would also play this card.
In most cubes, this will play as a Gruu/Simic hybrid card, just as Wild Nacatl mostly plays as a Gruul/Selensnya hybrid card. Which means it is easier to include and will see more play than a strict tricolor card. It will even see more play than a guild card!
All that said, this card is good, but I am not overly excited about it. It's funny to see how this card got a lot more people excited than the black 5 mana Wrath, while it is exactly the other way around for me.
I think for Temur wedge, this is most likely the best card for the slot so far. It's flexible, evasive, above-curve, plays well even without access to multicolor, and has ridiculous impact in both the early game as a 4/2 trampler and the late game as a 2URGGZealous Conscripts. It fits like a glove in RG beats that can burn out 2/x defenders, or UG tempo that can similarly bounce pesky blockers.
Yeah, I gave up on formatting specialized mana like hybrid and phyrexian costs ages ago. Maybe if the actual site providers cared about providing a how-to manual, I'd care to actually try.

It's coded as "sym" + color combination, so "symwu" with : : tags gets you -
Just make sure to add spaces around each : or it wrecks the symbol.
I will test this at 360. I love aggressive green decks and my only decision now is where to slot it. I can see running in green as a dependable option.

Hmm.. if wtwl really likes it, I guess ill give it a testing shot. Can't hurt.. It is a sweet card no doubt
maybe underestimating the trample part of the card

This guy is a slamdunk include for green.

You can also activate him the turn you play him, which is expensive, but has the surprise value of a haste creature (and one less blocker for them.)
