I just wish the Imp shot faces too.... The cut is just for testing. I'm not decided on Mindsparker yet so I could swap that to put the Imp back in... I don't get to cube enough!
Imp's pretty strong. Getting rid of early utility/beaters, combining with bounce effects, and post combat killing a large creature are all great applications. It also goes in any red deck. Not what I would look to cut.
Took a look at your cube, and obviously you will never feel comfortable with a cut until you've tested it yourself. BUT from experience I would cut any of these (looked for cards that are just not as good as they seem in testing): Ember Swallower Instigator Gang Pyrewild Shaman Mindsparker (But you already mentioned that above)
Three of those four are still on trial runs and the gang is a pet card of my crew. I'm sure Imp will find its way back in, but several WCS have cropped up in the last few drafts and I don't want to pull any of the others till I think they've had enough time in my cube. As for the Riders they aren't in my cube for fun reasons. When they are at their most powerful, coupled with Crystal Shard or Recurring Nightmare they are oppressive and unfun. My crew is a mix of tournament level players and casual folks, which can sometimes lead me to tailor my cube in ways others might not. Thanks for the suggestions though, it will probably be Mindsparker once all is said and done, but for now, out the Imp comes.

I'm surprised there isn't a thread for this guy. Am I using the search function wrong or did this guy just never get his own thread created?
I'm curious as to what the community has experienced since adding Prophetic Flamespeaker to your cube. I'm thinking about testing him and would like to know:
1) What cube size would you play him at? 2) What red three drops would you include over this guy?
I'm sure I've seen a thread about him some time ago. I can't find either it though.
He looks really strong to me. I think he will often provide card advantage comparable to a Shadowmage Infiltrator in a color that needs it badly. And when you equip or pump him, he gets disgustingly good.
We included it on our Cube (edit: which is 540), and it got drafted and maindecked last time, but I didn't see on the table, then forgot to ask how he performed.
If you get any more testing in, please post it to this thread. I'd be really interested in how he does at 540.
The Shadowmage Infiltrator comparison is one I haven't thought about before. Seems like a good card to compare him to. Johnny Magic has some upsides over this guy with Fear, but this guy definitely has some advantages of his own with being able to generate massive card advantage and being much better with equipment, especially on an open board.

Awesome in any limited format. If you have a small combat trick theme in cube, it's no doubt a shoo-in.

Thank you! I don't know why the search function didn't pick it up.
If a moderator could merge these threads, I'd appreciate it.
