I'm getting a Coalition Relic feel from this. It's not as strong, of course, because it's much more vulnerable (dying to both your opponent's removal and, say, your own wraths), and you can't stockpile mana every other turn like with the relic, but it is still a colorless way to have 6 mana on turn 4 without any help. That's impressive.
Couldn't this fit in the colorless section, if the green section is too tight?
I think I like this angle. It is, in some respects, like a collation relic in that it is 3 mana colorless that ramps your 4th turn to 6 mana.
The option to cast it for green on the second turn is offset by less colors of mana and of course the one shot acceleration.
The 2/1 able to attack but easy removed is of course another advantage/disadvantage of course.
But overall, as green ramp, I would still like the ones we currently have: Wall of Roots, Sakura Tribe Elder, and Sylvan Caryatid.
As colorless mana, I think I would want more robust ones that can't be killed by most removal and most creatures in combat.
It is flexible though, I'll give it that, but bottom-line is it still won't make the cut in my 450.
Before I go any farther. Colorless morph! Colorless morph! Colorless morph! This is certainly enough of a teaser that we could see a least a couple cards that blur a few lines, and those are always tempting for cube. And bonus points for wizards giving the buy-a-box slot to something interesting.
Sylvan Caryatid ended up being better than people first thought (I like it better than wall of roots or the elder), but Gyre Sage really didn't get there as people were hoping. I think this guy will be to be playtested. It seems like a gimmie if you have a bunch of morphs, but will fall in the 500 card cube range that gives you a little more room for whimsy than 360. We now have so many amazing one drop elves now that I don't know if this is needed.
It is an upgrade from UtoPiatREE if people have that, but I assume the Caryatid already took that spot.

Lol, you used mana tags instead of card tags, and ended up with that awesome...mana cost thing. For those wondering, the card referenced is utopia tree. Although I much prefer tapping and rolling my planechase dice.

I can't go back and edit now. Guess I played too much Cones of Dunshire at GenCon.
One thing this card(and the Caryatid) foretells is that wizards is going to keep mixing up the multi-color mana fixing creatures in green. With birds out of standard and core sets going away we may see a new 2 drop ramper in each block. So if you don't like this one there will always be more.
I am not really feeling this card. It is not bad, but on itself it is not good enough to be in our 450 cube. The only reason I might consider this card is if we need to find more playable morph creatures to make morph more secret.
I like Sylvan Caryatid a lot more, 3 toughness and hexproof and taps for every color of mana. This guy is vulnerable to 2 for 1s with splittable burn. I do like the 2 power though.
I like Sylvan Caryatid more. I want my mana creature to either cost only G or to be more resiliant. Or be potentially insane, like Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary, I guess.
I am really sad that they didn't make this a 0/1 for G as a wedge-version of Noble Hierarch.
I really hope you're joking haha, Sylvan Caryatid is miles better than this card. She can add any color, cant be targeted by removal, and can block 2 power guys all day. Mystic Soundclaw isn't bad though, and is still likely cubeable, but hes definitely no Sylvan Caryatid.
For those of you running this guy in a Temur slot, how do you compare him to Yasova Dragonclaw? Do you think it's worth it to try to slot both of these guys in even if you're not running a wedge section in multicolor?
Rattleclaw is a fine card. I can fit him into my 500 card cube, but I can see people passing on him in smaller lists. Yasova looks really neat. I like how he's not terrible if you can't activate the ability (4/2 trample for 2G is respectable).
I like Rattleclaw, and I run it as a green card. Its fine in either mode, but can create some really explosive turns if unmorphed. I run Maelstrom Wanderer in my Temur slot.
It's not "optimal" by any means, but I run Rattleclaw in Green alongside Generator Servant in Red to help fuel a RG midrange deck. The Servant is admittedly not as good as something more reliable like Borderland Marauder or Ash Zealot, but it helps shake up the archetypes a little, and both in the same deck can create some explosive turns!
