I saw it during that draft. I took a Channel in Pack 1, then saw Polukranos in Pack 2 and snickered. I actually got to fire it off in the first game, when my UW opponent had a few tokens in play. Channeled for 10, swept the board, and swung with a 10/10 Polu.

The Rubber Edict - You'd rather have it and not use it, than need it and not have it. The Shotgun Wedding - Don't commit early unless you absolutely have to.

When talking with my friend about greens top twenty, most of the cards that came to mind that made me want to go green in P1P1 weren't green. Things like Upheaval, Crystal Shard, Recurring Nightmare, and Thundermaw Hellkite are all cards that put me on the lookout for synergistic green cards. I want to be Simic or Bant blink/bounce decks, Golgari Rock decks, Gruul big mana decks. It's just rarely the green cards that put me there.
I'll agree with that. When I see a Survival, I'm thinking some sort of BG Reanimator deck. When I see a Sylvan, I'm thinking Ana Control or Midrange (I believe that GBU is my favorite 3-color combo to play). Even when I see Eternal Witness, I'm immediately thinking of some Blink/Bounce deck. With that first pick, I don't know that there's anything in Green that gets me to think about a Green-as-a-man-color deck.

To make up for the lost day on Monday, but in an effort to keep us on the Monday/Thursday schedule, I'll be closing down this voting late this morning, maybe early this afternoon (Pacific time).
