Article I wrote about conspiracies in cube and how they play within the format. It may be a little late, but as the saying goes "it's not about when you get to the party, but that you get to the party". Thanks for reading!
They really are very powerful cards in cube. The fact that they significantly improve your deck without taking room in it is just great. They also create some nice tension during drafting precisely because of this.
Just speaks to the conspiracies power in general, at worst it's a card that you only invested a draft pick for, at best it's an archetype enabler and hugely important to fast busted starts.
I love the conspiracies, just a few things I would note:
The power of Backup Plan depends on the variance of the deck you're building. In some decks, it's head and shoulders above Black Lotus or any other card. In my opinion, it's on the level of top tier power P1P1. I'd probably take it over Lotus, but others may differ on that. Advantageous Proclamation is better than you give it credit for, though that may depend on how focused the cube is. You frequently don't have 23 stellar cards, and even if you do, your set of 20 is even better.
For Immediate Action, you're pretty spot on, but I think you're required to mention how awesome it is with Hero of Bladehold or Royal Assassin.
I agree that Back Up plan is a top tier card. I don't think I would pick it over lotus, but there are few cards I would pick over it which is saying something. I would probably take it over a mox.
Immediate Action is awesome with quite a bit and Im sure I missed more than those two as well. Like, Hero of Oxid Ridge/Accorder paladin are killer with it in the token/aggresive decks, and there are def more.
We run Backup Plan, Unexpected Potential, Power Play, Worldknit, and Double Stroke in our cube... all have been just fantastic. I'm not sure there's a card in the cube I would take over Backup Plan, and p1p1, there definitely isn't a better card than Worldknit (though its value decreases, of course, the further into the draft you are).
This article makes me want to give Sentinel Dispatch a try as well.

Great job!
Backup Plan is really amazing, but there are a handful of cards I would take over it. Having something like Lotus/Sol Ring/Library/Recall in your deck seems better, only because they have the same type of devastating effect on the game. Like, choosing the best of the two 7-card hands will considerably help me win the game, but those previously mentioned cards are the type that actual do enable me to overpoweringly win.
Also, Worldknit is *insane* in glimpse drafts, especially aggro world knit decks.

By the way, Sentinel Dispatch is considered really strong around here: blocking a 2/1 for 'free' or giving you more ammo in your artifact deck.
