I love listening to the cube podcasts that are out there and so decided to throw my hat in the ring. Tell me what you think. The first episode is short and sweet.
I like it, but I would recommend having a co-host or guest on for further episodes. Not that this was bad, but I enjoy hearing the dynamic between two hosts. It makes for good conversation rather than just listening to one guy tell me his thoughts on a subject. It's nice to hear that back and forth between two (or more) people.
@eidolon232: Hmmm, thats weird. I have had no issue with playback. I will try and figure out why it is not playing for you and re upload the episode.
@calibretto: This Sunday I plan on recording a new episode with my cube playgroup. I agree with your assessment and hope that the addition of the others adds to entertainment of the podcast.
The 2nd episode of The Cubist Corner has been published. This time I have included my playgroup in the mix. Let me know what you think. Hopefully those unable to listen to the previous episode can listen now. If not please let me know.
It is probably the website I am using to host the podcasts. I am using podbean. Any websites that you recommend that can host podcasts for free? Thanks
For what it's worth, I didn't have any problems downloading either podcast. But I'm pretty sure mtgcast.com is a free hosting service. Here are the details from that site about what it takes to submit a show. You might also get a few more listens if you host it there.
@calibretto thank you for the information and link. I know the 2nd episode is rough since it is only the second recording. What were your thoughts? As to the files working, I looked into mtgcast and the submission process contains a lot of steps. I think the issue might be the file format I am using; which is m4a. I am going to reupload the previous podcast episodes as mp3s and see if that helps. If not I will start using mtgcast.
Great to have more cube material in podcast format. I would like even more if there was a rss feed for the episodes so that I could listen to them with my mobile podcast app while commuting.
@pillar15 thanks for the feedback. I will definitely look into setting up the RSS feed.
This past Sunday my playgroup and I did not meet up. However this Sunday we will. So expect a new episode, episodes that work because of a change in host, and an RSS feed. If I have the time even some intro music.
Though it is early, I have been working on a zombie cube that I hope to play with. The games would be 2 headed giant with one team being humans and the other zombies. This is all to celebrate Halloween.
