City of Brass by far. Even if we don't use it to fix for Fireball, it will make the final 40, which gatekeeper may not.
The more I looked at this pack, the more I'm inclined to agree with this. More fixing can never hurt. I like both Servitude and Gatekeeper here, but I wonder if either of them would make the final 40. I'm quite sure City would be in there. My pick would be City of Brass here.
My choice was between the Diabolic Servitude and City of Brass - I'm not sure why Gatekeeper of Malakir is really in the running considering it only works well if you're repeatedly casting him from your hand for BBB.
I like going for City of Brass. It fixes very well, and if we happen to end up with more we can definitely play that fireball.
Gatekeeper for me. I don't care if he has a BBB casting cost, we don't need to cast him on turn 3. He fills the need of more removal and more 187 creatures. The fact that he only kills a creature when cast from your hand is a bit of a drawback, but he still combos great with Genesis and Eternal Witness. Also, the fact that he makes the opponent sac a creature rather than target anything can be a huge bonus (or a huge drawback, but if we're recurring him anyway its no big deal).
I don't think we need more fixing, we are only 2 colors. And we certainly don't need another card that damages ourselves.
It's more that people always overvalue removal. Really, if they make a card ":symb:: Sorcery: As an additional cost, get F'd in the A. Destroy target creature." people will say "removal is removal" and first-pick it.

Unless it's city of brass, which will hurt every time we tap it. I missed the badland pick, where I would've advocated for it. Then we'd definitely splash the fireball. As it is I'm goin with Diabolic Servitude. Reanimation plan C seems better to me than a tough to use creature or another card for us to kill ourselves with.
I think I like Diabolic Servitude here. I'm not 100% sure it'll make it, but it's at least a strong possibility. I can certainly see the value of City, but I don't like the pain and I think our fixing is acceptable for a 2-color deck. Gatekeeper is just too awkward IMO.
Diabolic Servitude is my pick. It fits nicely with our deck theme.
We already have Arena, Muse, Bitterblossom, Thoughtseize, Catacombs, etc. which all hurt us. I just don't think we can afford to use City of Brass. As for Gatekeeper, I think BBB is just too color-intensive. Yeah, we don't have to play it on turn 3, but there will be times when we can't play it at all.
So, pretty close to a 3 way tie right now. I'll let this one run overnight, especially since the pick and the next one are the only real choices left in the draft.
Yep again. Whoever is in red must have been drooling over this pack.
Tooth and Nail's my pick. It may make the final 40, although I doubt it.

Fireball is the pick, obviously, just due to the fact that nothing here makes our final 40 (sorry Tooth and Nail), and its the best remaining card.
