It looks like Zendikar cards got posted and as usual, the thread to discuss the set's impact on the cube.
Thar be spoilers ahead, so don't look if you don't want to be spoiled.
Beast Hunt 3G
Sorcery
Reveal the top three cards from your library. Put all creatures revealed in this way into your hand and the rest into your graveyard.
Artist: Kieran Yanner
Kor Sanctifiers 2W
Creature — Kor Cleric
Kicker W
When Kor Sanctifiers enters the battlefield, if it was kicked, destroy target artifact or enchantment.
2/3
Artist: Dan Scott
Hideous End 1BB
Instant
Destroy target nonblack creature. That creature’s controller loses 2 life.
Artist: Zoltan Boros & Gabor Szikszai
Whiplash Trap 3UU
Instant — Trap
If an opponent had 2 or more creatures enter the battlefield under his or her control, you may pay U rather than Whiplash Trap’s casting cost.
Return two target creatures from play to owner’s hand.
Artist: Zoltan Boros & Gabor Szikszai
Kor Sanctifiers seems like it could be pretty good, disenchant/naturalize effects on creatures are generally good in the cube, and this compares well to the other options that exist. The kicker is interesting in that you can cast it w/o kicker if you're the only one with targets.
Hideous End looks like it may be too mana intensive, especially with stuff like Doom Blade being recently printed to augment terror and the like, but I don't know.
I would agree, out of the 4 so far, Kor Disenchant dude is the only one that I might play.
Beast hunt is horrible, for 2GG we get to just draw 3 cards.
Hiddeous End doesn't look horrible, but there are much better black removal spells available. Looks like WOTC is trying to give black more burn options (sign in blood, this)
Wipplash Trap, In ZZZ draft is it going to get more annoying hereing people yell "It's a Trap" or "No so fast Kaiba, you activated my trap card"?

I think I will at least try Kor Sanctifiers. It is an effect I've been wanted in white as green is getting more and more of these dudes. However the cost/size ratio on this is much worse than then the green options. Wish it was a 3/3 or a 2/2 flyer or anything but a vanilla 2/3 once in play.
Hideous End is not even close to being playable IMO. So many 1BB removal cards are better than this.
Whiplash Trap might be playable at 2UU as a four mana-instant Undo with the possibility of a huge one mana tempo play. At five this doesn't seem worth it.
Beast hunt is horrible, for 2GG we get to just draw 3 cards.
Comparing green card advantage spells to Harmonize is a pretty strict standard. I agree that Beast Hunt is bad but I'd play green card draw worse than Harmonize as long as it is good compared to the rest of green.
I agree that the Kor is the only one that looks really interesting.
What intrigues me is that the Kor returns, that kicker returns and the new Trap type seems interesting as well. Especially because it plays with Subtypes on Instants.
I'm not even remotely impressed by any of the spoiled cards. Kor Sanctifiers is way overpriced for what it is and it's ability. It should either have flying or be one mana cheaper. Hideous End is too mana intensive to be considered. Especially when you compare it with other 3cc removal spells for black. The other two both seem awful.
Nothing to see here, except the Kor guy. The black kill spell is very nice, but probably not Cubeable? Maybe?
The blue spell is actually nuts IF you can play it for U. Not cubaeable, though.
I'm more stoked about the new Planes. If any of you guys go to Planechase, if you could pick me up a Tazeem plane, I would really be most appreciative and trade very handsomely for it
I'm a fan of the Kor creature, as I'll run any Stomphowler variant I can get my hands on, especially if it's in white. Giving WW more outs to my opponents Jitte or Shackles with a maindeckable card is awesome.

Yeah.
A disenchant on a 2/3 stick for 4 seems fair.
And you don't HAVE to play the kicker, and that's the awesome thing. Ofcourse then it's only a 2/3 for 3, and not impressive. But you have the option...
Now if I ever take my cube out I'll have to be concerned not only about people swiping cards from my cube but also stealing basic lands.
After dutifully collecting and trading for Un-lands for years, my cube's supply of basics is almost completely Unhiinged lands... supplemented by Unglued lands. I worry worried about lands walking away because full art was full pimp.
Now, especially by the release of the third set in ZEN block, the market will be saturated with full art lands. On the lastest Magic Show (#153), Evan talks about these new foil Islands going for $2. I fail to see how this will happen as there will be significantly more of these lands available than the Un-lands combined. And remember, Un-sets were English only releases. Now we'll have Japanese full art foil lands out in the market. Those might hit $2 stateside due to demand.
I'm a little frustrated that this change has come. While I understand the value of the change, and I personally think this should have been done when Unglued came out, it demolished both the value of my lands ("Oh, full art. I have those. LOL!") and drives yet another nail in the coffin of a potential third Un-set (What gimmick is left for it? The lands were a strong selling point and the ONLY thing that keeps pack value of Unhinged above $2.).
That said, if anyone has Un lands they want to roll over into ZEN lands we can probably work out something. I like the older lands more and I will have plenty of these new lands to trade.
Yes. A thousand times yes. They lured me in with Ivory Tower and Zuran Orb, and I kept telling myself "I can quit whenever I want...just look at that untapped disk". That was ten years ago man.....
No, sadly. It was confirmed fake... three times I think.
I really love the new lands, and will compliment some of my Unhinged lands. I bought my local shop out of foil ones back in the day, he had them for 50p each. Saying that I only have about 6 foil ones total
@Zerin: Why do Japanese foils trade for more? I've noticed that particularly on eBay. They go for especially high amounts in the US.
People think the look cool. I prefer german for the insanly long words. The german countryside crusher is amazing.
Funny, isn't it? As a native speaker, I do not like many of the translations at all. Some time around Eventide release, they started to only support (pre)release events with german and french (and probably italian) cards in Switzerland, which was a bit silly in my opinion as at least for the events in the capital city there have always been both german and french speaking players around. I stopped going to these events as I do not want german cards. Now it seems as if we are going to have english cards again, I am looking forward to Zendikar release
On the other hand, I do have russian cards in my cube, and I do not care how they translated the cards as I do not understand it anyway. Also, the russian word for Instant is really long
As for the cards spoiled so far, I quite like the Disenchant-Kor. I try to eliminate 'sideboard-only' cards as far as I can and a reasonable priced body along with an effect usually helps there. I will give him a shot for sure.
The land cards look great. Also there is hope that they can't go back from this in the near future, so that I can add lots of full-sized lands with different art in the years to come.

Disenchant-Kor: a 2/3 for 2W or a 2/3 with ETB Disenchant for 2WW. Compare this to Cloudchaser Eagle. I like both but I'm leaning towards Eagle since it also packs evasion. I hope Kor is a common which would make for an interesting comparision and test.

What BK said. Plus, it is optional, so if you are the only one with Artifacts or Enchantments or if you don't want to blow up anything, you get a 2/3 for 3. Now that is by no means amazing, but the versatility is what makes it worth considering.
The card may be worth considering, but when I compare to everything currently included in my cube, I just can't find a slot for it. It's not better than anything I'm already running.

This. I just don't see the absolute need to replace anything when I already have enough artifact destruction on a stick (in red).

Exactly, for white to get an artifact hate creature is pretty uncommon. It's a much more powerful effect than just enchantments and I'll put this in my commons cube (barring zendikar craziness) in place of soltari visionary.
I really can't speak for normal cubes though. But considering their artifacts and and enchantments are usually game breaking (mindslaver, treachery, wake, clamp, etc) having a reasonable creature that can hit both seems worth it. Cards like nantuko vigilante and wickerbough elder are already very solid picks IMO.
It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for the winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came and the grasshopper died and the octopus ate all his acorns. And also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?
