MTG Salvation

Hi all. In my 720 powered cube, I'm currently running: Banefire, Devil's Play, Earthquake, Rolling Earthquake and Bonfire of the Damned. In drafting, it feels like there is one too many red X spells in the list and I'm wondering which is the one to cut. I'm leaning towards Bonfire but I'm curious what the general thinking is on which are the best red X spells in cube.

I would cut Earthquake and Banefire, you probably don't need so many red X spells, there's usually only one deck at the table that wants a red X spell anyways.

I'd cut Banefire. Earthquake is the nutz.

I'm honestly surprised to hear you guys so down on banefire. I expected you guys to list that as the third highest red x spell. It's been a game winner so many times with the uncounterability clause. You really think that bonfire being inconsistent but having a stronger BCS is better than the more consistent but slightly weaker BCS of banefire?

Also, im definitely only cutting one of these spell (and definitely not earthquake). Yes, any,given deck only wants one but at 720 cards, im,not running an unreasonable amount of these cards.

From that list:

Rolling Earthquake > Earthquake >> Bonfire of the Damned > Devil's Play >>> Banefire

I only run the first 2 at 540, so 5 does seem like a lot.

At 565 size, I feel like I need 2.5 of them. So at 720, I would definitely cut Banefire or Devil's Play depending on how much predominant Control is in your meta.

There's also Crater's Claw that has a higher damage output if you've like to have additional options. I personally like more than Banefire.
