MTG Salvation

So, I've had an all multicolor cube for about a year now, and after several drafts, I really like the place it's in except for Izzet.

Cube is at the link below. Restrictions are all cards must be gold or basically gold and less than $3 TCG mid (so the cube can travel without concern - some cards break this rule so that we can have sweet cycles in).

So, basically Izzet is attempting to be tempo/spells matter, but it feels substantially weaker than the other color pairs. I've now drafted it several times, and it feels like it just can't compete. However, I recently stumbled across jilt, a card that is obviously Izzet as you wouldn't want it in any deck that didn't have both colors but that I had forgotten existed and hadn't come across in my searches because it's not actually Izzet colored. So, my hope is that you guys can point me to some other similar cards that, while not technically Izzet, still basically are because you'd almost never want them in a non-UR deck. So, stuff like U or R cards with the other color kicker, stuff like court hussar, cards like the m15 creature cycle with flinthoof boar, or cards like , or stuff like trench wurm where the off-color activation is the only reason the card is playable.

Seems to me that Izzet also wants to go big by doubling down on spells. Copy them, recur them, replicate them, cascade them... Your cube looks to go more in the aggro-tempo direction by leveraging all the spells-matter creatures like Wee Dragonauts, but there aren't enough cheap instants/sorceries to fuel them. If you want to stay in that direction, I would definitely go for the Jilt and as many other cheap spells as you can find. Cerebral Vortex, Inside Out, Leap of Flame, Schismotivate and Slave of Bolas would play well with that creature make-up. You could also go big with all the aforementioned spells-matter stuff:

That would make Izzet a lot more dragony and grindy instead of aggro-tempo-ish, but if the latter isn't working out you can try a hybrid of both or something.

By the way, here's a secret I just found out: You can search for colored mana symbols in rules text by using the {G} notation in Gatherer, under Advanced search
