I never remember the ones when it was a good choice. I only remember the ones that were running lands that would have allowed me to curve out perfectly.

If you scry 2 and still can't find what you need, whether it's land or spells, you're probably just destined to lose at that point
so I understand this rule more clearly. Do you get to scry X per card under 7? i.e you keep a hand of 4 cards and scry 3?
or is it just scry 1, no matter how many cards under 7 you have?
I currently do the first mulligan is free rule. Because we're all friends, even second mulligan can be free if you got 1, 2, 6, 7 land hand. No one really mind or care (or abuse it, luckily). We just want to have fun. I might be trying this rule in additional though.

We also have the first mulligan being free (but nothing based on land count), and we are considering to use the new rule instead after adding the Origins cards to the cube.
I'm sure it's known by now, but we do free mulls all the time. If it's a hand you'd mull, then mull it and draw seven. No one abuses it, though we may implement this scry 1 rule, which may decrease the amount of mulligans total.
Been playing with this since it made the news, and I like it a lot. Though we'll generally draw seven if both players mulligan, I do like forcing the diminishing hands, even in friendly matches, for a simple reason: it encourages good deckbuilding and punishes greedy mana bases. Otherwise why not always draft the three-color goodstuff deck with inadequate fixing? (Okay, obviously there are reasons.) That said, the scry takes a bit of the sting out of it.
On spoiled card wishlisting and 'should-have-had'-isms:
