I'm looking at putting together an Innistrad set cube and was wondering if the ratio of 3/2/1/1 commons, uncommons, rares and mythics was good enough? It ends up being 530 cards, 545 if I include the basic lands.
That rarity distribution looks fine, and is what I've done with my modern masters set cube. My personal innistrad sim is 4 of each common, 2 uncommon, and 1 (mythic) rare. I've cut the mythics and rares down to a curated selection of 36 cards and I have cut some of the worst commons and uncommons to help streamline drafts.
I would recommend NOT including planeswalkers nor Olivia Voldaren in your cube, as these tend to warp the draft around those cards (although innistrad was better than a lot of other sets in terms of super-bomb draft wreckers).
Thanks for the warning about those cards. It's my first go at making a cube and Innistrad is my favourite set flavour wise so I thought starting with the full set and then trimming it from there would be a good place to start with.
Well I would put rares and mythics under a single category. Coz when you evenly distribute it the rate is about the same.
At the very same vein when it comes to streamlining, might I suggest you add some cards outside of Innistrad to augment certain strategies. I'm not suggesting 50 cards or anything, but a handful especially at common could help. They're merely in place of fillers that you wanted to chop out anyway. Such as removal for Olivia (if you really want to keep her)
I do intend to do this eventually, my group just wants to run the first two or three drafts using the full Innnistrad set. After that I'm going to trim it down, remove vanilla creatures and add in some cards I think would fit a little better than certain ones in it. I have no issue getting the cards, it was mainly just working out the number of copies for each card.
I actually just finished an Innistrad Simulation Cube as well. I haven't had a chance to draft it yet, but should get in a few drafts in the next few weeks.
My distribution is 4 Commons/3 Uncommons/1 Rare and Mythic (only select rares and mythics are included). 3 Uncommons probably is not necessary, but I had the playset, so I figured I would use them.
I added some choice Dark Ascension cards to replace some Innistrad cards. The goal of these additions is to expand on fun Innistrad archtypes (Werewolves, Self Mill, etc.), remove super fringe playable cards, up the power level of Black and Red, and remove uninteractive cards (Invisible Stalker).
Cube is drafted with 10 commons/3 uncommons/1 rare or mythic/1 flip card per pack.

I've one Innistrad Block Cube and it is super nice to play with. Thought to build, but so much fun.
I'd recommended you to build up your packs processing by rarity. First, set up your common section with like 3 to 5 cards of each in the set. Do the same with the uncommon, with 2 to 3 of each. And then, set the rare/mythic section with 2 of each rare and 1 of each mythic. Then split singletons in little piles, by doing little series of Innistrad classify par rarity, and you'll be able to make boosters according to the reality packaging. Let's see that with a clear example.
Let's say we go with 4 commons of each, 3 uncommons of each, 2 rares of each and 1 mythic of each.
First, take each playset of common and seperate them into 4 piles. Then you'll be having 4 sets of Innistrad's common. Set those apart.
Next, do same with uncommons, but make 3 piles since you have 3 of each. Those will be your sets of Innistrad's uncommons.
After that, let's do the same with rares and make 2 piles splitting up the half-playset of each. You'll then be having 2 set piles of Innistrad's rare. Next, shuffle your 15 (I think there's 16 in Innistrad actually, no sure...) mythics and split them in half. Half will go in one of the rare's pile you've done and the other one in the next.
Then, you're ready to assemble your own Innistrad Booster Pack. Let's see how.
Take one of the common piles, shuffle it good, and make 9 piles with 10 cards in each. Those will be the common section of your boosters. Do the same with the 3 other common piles and you'll be having 36 little piles that are ready to receive uncommons and rares on it. Next, take 1 of the 3 uncommon piles, shuffle it, and fill up 12 of those 36 by putting 3 uncommons on each. Repeat process for the next 2 uncommon piles on the 24 that's left. At the end, take 1 of the 2 rares/mythics piles, shuffle it, and fill 18 of the 36 boosters you've created so far. Do the same with the other rares/mythics pile on the next 18.
At the end, you'll have 36 booster packs, completly randomize, with 14 cards in each, with no chance at all of getting the same card twice in the same pack, like in a real booster pack.
Make sure you do all this with face-down piles
And if you have any questions about the process or if something's not clear, don't hesitate!

"Personally I love high-riak, low-reqars gambles. Life's best with a decent amount of riak. And f*** reqars."
