So I'm redesigning my cube. It's very large with pretty much every thing non power and non pre Tempest (when I started playing. )
Anyways, I want to lower my casting cost in several colors. What I don't want to so is be lacking in the large CC good stuff. So I'm asking from experience what are your best 7+ cc cards I. Your cube? Obviously cards like Tooth and Nail will make the list, but some hidden gems that have preformed well. List as many as you'd like to help give me an idea.

Nice list wtwlf. Craterhoof Behemoth deserves to be on the list for green. It is a severely underrated card on these forums imo. It's interesting that a fair few 6 drops are better than all or most of the 7 drops (regardless of CMC) in their respective colours.
Hmmm.... I'll keep that in mind for a possible future addition. I'm supporting ramp, reanimation, Tinker, and Birthing Pod as my cube's ways to cheat out fatties - so anything over 6CMC I want to work in as many of those as possible. Artisan is definitely better for reanimator and Pod (my only 10-drop is Greater Gargadon, not really a step up from my 9s) but if I need more reanimation targets Pathrazer would probably close a game out faster.

It that Betrays is my eldrazi of choice, since it first both ramp and reanimation, and also creates interesting board states. Others that haven't been listed yet include avenger of zendikar and eternal dragon.
I also recommend Artisan of Kozilek, because unlike the bigger Eldrazi it can be reanimated.
From the perspective of someone with a commander cube, which essentially means my experience with 7+ drops is more or less nonapplicable I suppose, Artisan is a really strong card. In the draft stats of my cube Artisan has the second highest pick-to-pass ratio of any card, surpassed only by the ever amazing Wurmcoil Engine. It's a solid reanimation target, but what sells it is it's flexibility. If you're ramping Artisan is a reanimation spell on a 10/9 annihilator, and that's good.
Again, keep in mind that this is from the perspective of an EDH cube, where you could potentially be cheating it out with Mayael, Jhoira, or Animar.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)

If your plan is just to reanimate, Pathrazer of Ulamog is your best bet. Artisan is a bit better in SuperRamp decks though.
