So like most people working on a 'conspiracy cube' the idea is 'we will end up with a bunch of leftover cards after our draft that only make sense in draft'. I suggested blending them with some leftovers from the Return to Ravnica block and other goodies and my friend said 'maybe I can throw in a bunch of those UN cards that are gathering dust'.
So this is the idea:
Conspiracy:
All unclaimed cards (some are probalby going into commander decks and stuff)
A strong focus on COGS, Will of the Council, All the conspiracies we open, etc.
UN sets: Booster tutor (draw 15 cards from the cube)
Double Cards (Have an effect in this game and next game) Time Machine (same idea as above)
Most GOTCHA cards (returns to hand if player says something)
Some fun but playable cards cards that dont involve artist (maybe) or fractions.
Avoid cards with a 'drawback' that are purely inferior to modern cards.
'Illegal' and otherwise unused Falling Star - my friend said he has one and nowhere else to use it. Golden Wish - cheap enough, search your sideboard and 'cube'. glittering wish - cheap enough, search your sideboard and 'cube' Living Wish - same as above.
Big game cards:
This would be a lot of modern cards that deal damage to all players, all players draw, all players discard, all players sacrifice, etc.
I would use the multiplayer cards from the Commander 2011 and 2013 editions as a good starting point with the cycles in those. Then there's Curfew from Urza's Saga as well as the Innocent Blood Cycle from Odyssey block. That and proxy Shahrazad with cards like Reverberate.
This is a cube I have been working on since conspiracy started to be spoiled, it sounds like it might be similar to your thoughts. It plays heavily into the multiplayer and politics theme. http://cubetutor.com/visualspoiler/12415
All that is missing is the conspiracy cards to be a 360 cube. It has roughly 6-8 arch types and some skill testing alt win cons. It is designed to be lenticular, obvious arch types for newer players and more advanced/subtle arch types for more experienced players. I am thinking about adding another pack (3 singelton rares, 3 pair of uncommons and 2 three of a kind commons) to each color to up the complexity.
Thanks for the advice... I'm realizing that for example the JOIN FORCES cards are really cheap since they are not the 'pick of the litter'when it comes to Commander singles. There are some other flavorful cheap singles I'm seeing like Order of Succession.
As for Crossbonesx11, just having looked at your cube is probably going to greately influence mine. I had thought a little about stuff like 'focusing on life gain cards' or 'throw in some vampires' and some 'evasion' but stuff like the Hunted Dragon, the Vows, Invigorate, etc. I also really agree with your use of rare and mythics in singleton form, I was aiming for a handful of "Oh, I see what my strategy is going to be" cards, the Felidar Soverign is a good example of that.
I'll post a list when I get closer, I will probably build one on the larger side, especially since my friends sometimes like to draft 4 packs. Hopefully it will make for a great 'afteroon' every once in a while, where the effects of the last game might still be felt in the current game.

Ideas? Opinions? Insight? Let me know!
