I've been recently cutting my cube down from 540 to 450 and I've been wondering what the appropriate number of dual lands I should be running. I currently have 10 cards for each guild (5 spells, 5 lands). I've been thinking about cutting 1 land from each combination to avoid lands cluttering up draft, but then I worry that there won't be enough fixing for the number of gold cards I run. Should I also cut a card from each guild to compensate?
I included Ravnica's dual when moved from 360 to 720.
In 450 I think the % of 2colours mana fixing is related to to % of multicolour spell.
If you have few guild spells you can chose to cut shocklands to keep space for utility colorless lands.
(10dualands, 10 fetchlands, 4-5rainbow land, 5ww menlands).
I wouldn't recommend this. Even with a low count of gold cards, people still primarily make 2 color decks. You want to provide the mana base to support this. 1 cycle of 10 per 100 cards is a very handy guide.

I don't agree with this. Regardless of what percentage of multicolor spells I'm running, I still need mana fixing. And 29-30 fixing lands in a 450 card cube is WAY too low, IMO. Unless you exclusively rotisserie/auction draft.

It's not really as if there is a gold standard for cubes. People seem to like playing with a lot of good fixing but I love scarcity in formats.
