It's a shame that the Cube Vault is just a bit too small for me: with a 720 card cube (maybe 1/4th double sleeved), 240 basic lands, about 150 tokens, plus dice/sleeves, there's just no way that my cube is going to fit inside it.
Also, I agree that the logo is pretty lousy. I don't get the crossbones thing at all. And the "early bird discount" doesn't help at all: all it does is provide serious feel bads and discouragement to those who find out about it late. :\
Another $15 isn't that big a deal, and it makes sense from a business perspective. A lot of people won't bother pledging to a kickstarter that hasn't already made a bit of progress. It's not an uncommon practice.
I use UltraPro regular sleeves. They are cheap and last enough. I rather prefer Dragon Shield, but those don't exist here right now. And when they do, they are too expensive .___.
It's a neat kickstarter, but I don't understand the hook, in where this some how works better for cube drafters than it does the many other solutions already out there.
It is a cool box, for sure. Though for $125 I think I would rather have a custom wooden box. Less secure I suppose. That said, happy someone is doing this.
Just picked up 800 Fantasy Flight clear card sleeves for use with my budget modern-border cube. Only cost me $25 NZD. Pretty happy with the purchase. The FF sleeves are more rigid than standard penny sleeves, and shuffle a lot more nicely.
I currently use a Rook box, and its the type of solid storage I require, but it does have some issues, and this Cube Vault is an upgrade.
Speaking of upgrades... I know Dragonshield, KMC, etc are considered high quality... but I'm left with a feeling like I'm lovingly building a hot rod piece by piece, then applying a coat of mat black and calling it a day. Is there such a thing as "pimped out" sleeves? I mean, besides adding Toploaders. That's just impractical and totally awesome.
A word of warning on the Holiday Gift Box: Maybe I'm the only one this happened to, but I stored my bulk Ravnica uncommons in there, and the black tape on the inner dividers rubbed off on the sides of my cards... T.T
I have not ever used Legion sleeves, so I have no idea of their quality. Also I think you can find them cheaper on other website if you give in to the awesomeness.

Can you PM that site or if allowed post it here? I've wanted really good clear sleeves for some time!
I think what you're trying to say is that mere mortals can't handle the awesomeness of these sleeves. I agree. We can't all be as pimp as flutterguy, and as soon as we come to terms with it, we can figure out the (distant) second best alternative.

Got it through an auction on trade me, which is NZ only. However, you can find Fantasy Flight card sleeves around the internet with a quick google. The ones that fit MTG are the "standard card game sleeves"
As I said, they are significantly better than penny sleeves, but not as rigid as say, the Dragonshield clear sleeves.
Is there a place to get the new KMC Hyper Mattes in the UK? Everyone seems to love them...
I'm struggling with this one too. The best bet seems to be Potomac Distribution but the delivery is nearly as much as the cost of the sleeves. I have some interest locally, so if the sleeves seem good it may be possible to ship a case and split the cost. This would work out at about $7.00 for a pack of 80, which is not too bad.

I finally have a box! It is still a work in progress, but a friend was looking for a project to work on after her two month wood working class. This box is certainly the work of a novice, but a little character is great. Looking into having the top engraved at the laser shop down the road. The inserts also need a lot of work, but it's a start.

I dunno, man, you ARE talking to the person that single-handedly exposed the United States Magic market to perfect-fit sleeves, a MUST for any pimp!

Nice craftsmanship. For the inserts, you might just want to just try smoothing out the dimensions, and wrap the cardboard in fabric. I dont know how well it stands up over time but i'm told it (as unlikely as it sounds) has the best "texture" and consistency for card storage, while the fabric keeps it from sliding around, and really adds to the presentation. Plus I'm sure you can find a print that fits the theme easily.

Fabric is a great idea. I'll check into that in the next week or so!
I was thinking of maybe having the Bitterblossom art etched into the top? Any thoughts on better images of things that flutter? Otherwise, I could just go with damnation...

You'd better have the CORRECT Bitterblossom art, if you do...
Why do you bring up Damnation specifically? I mean, dont get me wrong, the art is amazing, but not really in the spirit of your theme, unless I'm missing something.

Wow
those are cheaper than my ugly copper ones.
