So long as the sleeves can't be seen through (so white and light pink are probably out) they're indistinguishable from other cards when double-sleeved. I've been cubing with CE since the beginning, and they've never once been observed as "marked" by any players.
Awesome, yeah we have black KMC Hyper Mattes. Shouldn't be an issue then.
Hello everyone. I am currently working on reproducing wtwlf123's powered cube and I am looking for suggestions for storage. It's a 540 card cube + 30 basics of each color + tokens. Hopefully with some room to spare for dice or whatever else. Thanks
EDIT: I live in Canada if that matters.
It's proabably less than 10 pages back, but I bought a box off etsy that's half the price of a cube vault and I have the same size cube as you. Cythare also bought the same box and is happy with it. I'm at work right now, but PM me if you want a link.

Hey guys new to cube but i love the feedback and community that gives great feedback so far. I had Aaron Cain make my box holds up to 720 double sleeved cards
Holds all the colors, tokens and 50 each zendikar full art lands with room for tokens
I use the team bags with a sticker of the logo I made (The KONG Cube, my nickname) so everyone can feel like they are opening a pack and it makes life easier to just crack a beer and start drafting
p.s. if you look closely, the planeswalker symbol is on DK
I used the search feature on this site, and could not find what I was looking for, so I will ask it here as it pertains to sleeving cards in a cube. I am debating about using the 5 planeswalkers from the Origins set in my cube, mainly because they do double for creatures too. Is there any sort of perfect fit sleeve I might be able to use where it would not cause much wear at all for the cards? Also, by double sleeving those 5 cards in my cube, would they be noticeable when compared to the rest of the cards in the cube? I am refraining from using the checklist cards at the moment as I am looking at making the set of cards snug in my box, and don't want to force any in. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

You're looking for KMC perfect fits. I would honestly just sleeve the entire cube, you can find the sleeves as cheap as $3-4 per 100 sleeves, and at 3 cents a piece, it's worth it to protect against the dirt and grime and whatever else is on your players hands.

Oh, I'll be sleeving the entire cube. I was referring to the 5 planewalkers (DFC cards) in Origins. Thank you for the advice nonetheless.
So what I did with my DFCs (Huntmaster of the Fells, Garruk Relentless, etc.) was sleeve them in these amazing Ultra Pro clear sleeves. I received a few in my trades in the past but have never been able to identify the product, but they are UP sleeves that are stiff like regular MTG sleeves. Then in the draft, I printed and sleeved a proxy (in regular sleeves) to mark the DFC cards, and if players choose to MD the DFC, they can just use the clear sleeved DFC. The advantage is that I'm able to showcase my shiny DFCs in a safe sleeve, without having to worry about pulling out and putting back in a perfect fitted card every time it transforms. i just need to figure out what the sleeves were called so that I can sleeve up my new origins walkers the same way...
on another note, i'm contemplating resleeving my entire cube with KMC hyper mats (currently in gold dragonshields). i am having the darndest time figuring out what colour to use as my original vision was to use a non-MTG colour for the sleeves (and the hyper mat purple is a bit too light for me). any recommendations on a KMC sleeve colour, or other sleeves that are as reputable + have more unique colours?

I need wooden box suggestions for ideally sub $50. It will need to hold a double sleeved 450 card cube + 200-300 additional for lands/tokens. Wine case? Other thoughts?

It's tough to find an off-color mtg sleeve because most sleeves' colors were made with said colors in mind. It's slightly important to note that certain colors have properties which are different to others, which makes them more durable/flexible (basically longer-lasting). I tend to favor the red Hypermats. I find the color red to be pretty solid and durable (from years of experimenting). But that's my personal opinion.
Looking to resleeve my cards, anyone able to chime in on hyper mattes vs hyper matte premium vs dragonshield matte?
Sorry if you already bought your sleeves, but I'll say there's negligible difference between Hypermat and its premium counterpart. I believe the latter just "promises" to be more consistent, in terms of cutting, size and alignment. I don't see the justification to get premium over normal hypers.
I've no comment on dragonshield coz I never use them before lol.
So I resleeved my cube in double sleeved KMC Hyper mats. Then I got a Pirate Lab small case which holds my 360 cube + 30 of each land with some additionally sundry almost perfectly.
My only gripe is that the cards sometimes shift around when carrying since this was made more for carrying deckboxes, but I just shoved the spacers that come with the case on top of the cards in the slots and that seems to have solved the problem.
Does anybody here have a hobby lobby artist case with the broken token divider or something similar that could let me know how many single sleeved cards it can hold? Ive been hesitant to purchase one because I can't tell how big they are from the pictures. Also, about how many cards could one of those harbor freight aluminum boxes hold?

If I had seen this earlier I would have chimed in. I really think that any dark color looks awesome with the Hypermats. I had a set (for a deck not a entire cube) of dark purple that looked incredible . I'm currently using the HYPERmat blue for the cube and Super Silvers for the tokens. Blues simply cause it's my favorite color and silvers because it's what I had.

in the end, i found a good deal with green and went with those. i was ready to go with purple (the only non MTG colour in the hyper mat line), but I couldn't find them at the price i wanted. Plus the purple looked really light, which was a bit of a put-off for me. Are they really that dark? i've never seen them in person (or even pictures of them).

The sleeves in my pic a few posts up are purple hyper MATs. They're a pretty deep and rich purple, I'd take a picture right now but they're in storage right now since i'm moving. Price on them was good too, 36 dollars for 7 packs.

It's a bit tricky to see the colours since it's only the tops of sleeves when you get them unpacked, i would greatly appreciate if you could post up another pic of the sleeves themselves. That price is really good too - I believe I got my green sleeves at that price, and i'd be happy to switch them again if i could get good looking purples for that price.
He said that it can hold around 800 Double-sleeved cards which would be perfect for my 540 Cube plus 150 basics (I will more likely increase this to 180). Any feedback on this will be greatly appreciated. I live outside the US so shipping costs will kill me, that's why I'm holding out for now until I'm absolutely decided that this will be my Cube carrying case.
