I've been wanting to build some old school decks latley. So I just finished my first one today. I'm not sure if this is un-pimp or super pimp.
Still need to make a sideboard for it. I could have either made the deck with grimey played revised cards and thrown them in an Ice Age starter deck so it looked period and then played the deck without sleeves(which is what I did) or tracked down beautiful beta and antiquities copies of everything and played the deck in sleeves which I did not do.
Next to work on turbo stasis.

It wasn't pretty, and there's a lot of tasteless people who take photo of body part and death body and keep sharing it on various social media that I'm using. I feel kinda sick right now.
I read about that. What a horrible situation. Not that they are similar but right after the chemical explosion in China too. Lots of sad and scary things going on all over the place.

Haha! I know which one costs more to pull off! At least you haven't got an elastic band holding the thing together... *shudder*
Anyway, you've got the Antiquities Ivory Tower there - that's pimp points enough for me.
Whirling Dervish in the sideboard and all, too. Man, those things were the bomb back in the day... my playgroup loved Pestilence decks, and those things just punched straight through them.
Tom Brady's suspension has been lifted. **** yeah.
Still can't believe we didn't run the ball.
Yeah me either
After that ridiculous lockette(?) catch, I was about ready to give up football for life. Third time's the charm though with those BS last-minute plays, eh?
Tom Brady's suspension has been lifted. **** yeah.

Based on clock, there had to be one pass attempt in the last couple plays in order to maximize total attempts of getting into the endzone. And given the personnel on the field, Pete thought that would be the best down to try it on because of NE's goal line defense they were showing. It was a risk he felt he had to take, and Butler made a great read, jump and play on the ball. It was arguably the right call given the situation, but it also had the highest risk. He felt like 3 potential plays including a pass attempt had a better chance of winning the game than 2 total plays without one. But it will haunt him and 'Hawks fans forever. The bad decision wasn't the playcall, it was Wilson choosing to try and thread the needle rather than throwing the ball away and stopping the clock. It'll rest on Pete's shoulders forever, but nobody talks about the fact that they'd have won the game if Wilson chucked the ball out of the back of the endzone rather than threading it across the middle. 2 runs likely wins the game, but Pete wanted 3 total plays instead of 2 attempts to punch it in. That's what the clock called for, and it bit him in the ass in the worse way possible.
Browner did an incredible job as well. There's no way Butler goes around that pick if Browner doesn't immediately jam him.
It would've been interesting to see another run. Ayers did stop Lynch on a run the play before, and who's to say we don't stop them again, but I'm glad we don't have to play the what-if game and we're just champs.
It was awesome that we didn't call a TO there as well. Seems like the whole thing was really rushed, which worked out in our favor.

I agree with everything you said. It just hurts to be so close and not make it. literally the entire season was a magic trick full of freak passes, fumble recoverys, punters throwing touchdowns and a bobbled kickoff. I just wish they would of gone for the safer play.
Even as a Patriots and Brady hater, I thought the suspension was absurd. Putting Stick-um on your hands/gloves is like an $8000 fine. How does being "more likely than not" "generally aware" of someone maybe deflating some footballs then go to 4 games?
In the past couple years, Goodell has wrestled the Worst Commissioner trophy from Gary Bettman.

Try winning every game but the last. David Tyree and that damn catch...just disgusting.
I finished my 1996 era gauntlet. I thought I would share it here.
I decided to build a gauntlet of decks from black summer. I'm using 4th/Ice Age/Alliances/Chronicals/Homelands/Fallen Empires as my sets with the following ban list.
Restricted
Balance
Black Vise
Land Tax
Ivory Tower
Zuran Orb
Banned
Mind Twist
Ante Cards
Sadly this is the first box like this that they made to my knowledge. I would have liked something a little older. If someone has the ability to print boxes on cardboard I would be interested in getting a more Ice Age-y one built. I still need to get two more Ice age starter decks to finish this off.
Cheers,

I did just play this against a standard red deck. I got destroyed. Can't beat creatures that have power equal to there converted mana cost apparently.
